All church income is actually from donations(Tithes) and the just use it to pay the bills and then the rest is actually resonated back to the community and to fund humanitarian missions. You don't tax donations that would be rong

As long as its used for non political purposes. The minute the pastor starts spewing anything political they better be ready to pony up!

Sports celebrities and hollywood actors do it all the time. I am not sure why preachers should be banned from having an opinon. We do have a separation of church and state right?

The pastor wont preach his opinion on politics on pulpet. Most are very carefully about opinions about candidates. But they may make an opinion about laws and values like abortion and drugs.

Better start interpreting it like the french meant it and not Thomas Jefferson's 'phrase'. Separation of state and church also means no specific tax exemption laws for religions. It's meant to remove the involvement of the church in establishing laws, not to put it above them.

It's more separation of religion and religion these days

Does more than pay bills and return to the community Vatican City is the richest city on earth. Pastor's have nice houses and cars etc..
