Deck Tomatoes growing with Jack's Palm, Acid, and Blossom.

Hey just though I would post my tomatoes I am practicing on atm. They are all in 5 gallon pots and lined up on my deck. At first I just had the Palm and Blossom for a month or so and lately I have been feeding them all three Jack's mixed evenly and some Cal/Mag. The Last two feeding I switched over to just the Blossom Booster. I also have been giving them a little silica in between the last couple weeks.
These Tomatoes are in 5 gal pots and they are bigger now than this picture I took last week.

Bummer! That sucks..

I started spraying a neem oil mixture and have some spinosad ready to use as well.

the stuff doesnt hurt the tomatos at all? never used it.
Im having the worst time with matters as my climate isn't tomato friendly...too hot and dry but urs @Uberknot look fantastic

Here is an update! still growing well I had to up watering a bit and added some cal-mag.

I added two more strings since the last pic to hold them up.

The cherry tomatoes are getting over 7 ft tall atm.

Pulled my tomato plants up. The sob"s pissed me off.

I am thinking I planted them too close together, 8 in a 4x8 raised bed was too tight I recon.

About a week ago I realized they have to have cal-mag and much water or they won't make tomatoes. In Fact I would say now I could still up the water even more and they would use it, but they are outside and I have to plan for the rain as well.... The Cherry Tomatoes look like the roots are all over the surface I am sure the 5 gallon pots are stuffed with roots.

I water 2-3 gallons twice a day, split between all plants, if no rain once early morning and once right around noon.

Still using about 1/2 strength Bloom every few days along with some silica.

Once I upped the water and Cal-Mag they took off as you can see by the pictures.

As far as spacing I have 2 plants about 6-8 inch apart in each 5 gallon and those are spaced 12-16" apart.

The Cherry type have 3-4 in each pot and are being pruned to grow tall and produce tomatoes.

Your tomatoes look great, I tried some in containers this year for the first time. I usually plant them in the ground but wanted to give some containers a try. Mine are poorly supported, top heavy and most of them have been knocked over a couple times by storms. My super soil mix ran out of nutrition a month or so ago and I've been struggling to feed some of them. The 3 gallon containers can dry out pretty fast on a hot day too, I water them a couple times a day. They don't look nearly as good as most of the plants that I planted in the ground but they do have quite a few maters on them and I'm starting to pick a few ripe ones.

They look great but the bigger tomatoes have had a tougher go of it compared to the cherries. I have had to pick some off the best boys simply because they developed black area's from either nutrition or water levels. Growing tomatoes in pots is not as easy as it seemed.

Well here is what happens when your Tomatoes get too big and fall over the railing on the deck......lol!

On top of that last week there was heavy rain for a few days.

I feel your pain! My garden got a blight that decimated the entire crop of tomatoes. Neem oil only slowed it down...

I got the black spot fungus but I still got a lot of tomatoes between the 5 plants.
