white fuzz at base of plant

I have two plants that I picked up as clones from a dispensary, transplanted them a little over two weeks ago. I just noticed this morning, on the base of one of my plants is this powdery/fibrous looking stuff. Upon moving some soil around by the stem at the base I could see all this powdery/fibrous stuff. The plants have been really healthy otherwise, growing about an inch a day. I watered them yesterday the 22nd, the 17th before that and the 10th before that. I live in Denver too. The bigger plant on the left is the one with the base issue, although the one on the right might have some, just not as much. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hit it with peroxide and water.

Yeah, just some white mold, no harm really. Water less around the stems and more around the outter side of the pot

thanks. should I mix peroxide in for the next watering or give it a mixture right now? what ratio do you recommend?

Id put 60 to 1 water peroxide in a water bottle and spray it on contact. I get this in my clone box when the clones dampen off. A little spray and its gone for good

do you think the plant would die if I left it unchecked? I did notice the soil was still kinda moist yesterday so maybe I should have waited longer to water

Yeah very little h2o2 us needed to kill the spores on contact

it's mycelium fungi. it's beneficial to organic soil. it's good stuff. ie probiotics

Agreed. If you use peroxide you may ruin the vigor you are seeing. Just maybe let the soil dry a bit more between waterings.

I can't take that compliment. When my store bought soil runs out of balanced nutrition I add bottled nutes.

i'd leave it alone unless you see it start to spread, theres a big chain of stuff thats supposed to be growing in your soil to support healthy roots, and thats part of it, as long as it doesn't run wild. mychorizae, lactobacillus, mycillium, all good stuff

is it normal to go 1 week between waterings during this early veg phase? had been 5 days since last watering when I watered yesterday, but the soil was probably too moist still in retrospect. fascinating stuff, fun to learn.

molasses? i'm assuming you don't literally mean molasses

Yeah, way too much water. You want to give enough to dry out in 2-3 days. I hope your RH isnt too high, asking for powderr mold..something you never want to have in your grow bc its a pain to get rid of bc it sticks to everything

Mold is ok to have in your compost heep, I wouldnt recommend growing it in your pots in your grow in a confined space.
