glad to be of help mateyeah i think i fucked up a bit, ppms are ALOT lower then i was thinking.... started off with ppm of 32, added nutes and calmag, ph'ed. But i just checked the ppm of the water again and its around 350ppm, usualy around 600. I think i messed up the previous nute mix. Thank you for the help, chaning the rez out tonight.
My tap water is `120 ppm, out of the faucet. So if I want a ppm of 720, I set it at 840, so I have 720 of nutes, plus the 120 ppm of the water.
if you can afford a bluelab truncheon get 1 and use the EC scale its loads easier, theres no confusion about which PPM scale you should be using, sorry i should have made my 2nd post a bit easier to understand about subtracting the waters ppm/EC from the final value of the feed.got the answer to my one question.
but check here, i changed the rez out last night, the new growth is looking alot better, the smaller plant is still struggling through, I fed at 410ppm last night, when i checked the PPM's just now it was at 270ppm?if you can afford a bluelab truncheon get 1 and use the EC scale its loads easier, theres no confusion about which PPM scale you should be using, sorry i should have made my 2nd post a bit easier to understand about subtracting the waters ppm/EC from the final value of the feed.
your PH ING letting it drift is spot on
I dont know a lot about DWC, but yes thats what i would do, maybe bump it up to 500/550 on the hanna scale that would give an EC of approx 1.1but check here, i changed the rez out last night, the new growth is looking alot better, the smaller plant is still struggling through, I fed at 410ppm last night, when i checked the PPM's just now it was at 270ppm?
Is that the plant taking the nutes out of the water? Should i just add more nutes to keep it at 400 ppm?
that was what i was thinking aswellRaise the light your burning the upper leaves.
