When can I toss my male?

I've decided to make seed. I have a female in week 3 of actual flower.. Next to her I have a male. Two days ago the male parts opened and there is pollen all over the place. I shook the pollen onto the female.

Can I toss my male now or keep it around a while to make sure the deed is done?

You could get a plastic bag and put male in it .... Hold the plant in and shake , collect anymore pollen for future use.

Also ( unfortunately ) you shook plant all over the place and any future females going in there could possibly get seeded too. So you will have to clean the shit out of that grow area.

Yes you can toss the male, but milk it of pollen first, shake it into a bag then freeze it,Make sure the bag is air tight so no moisture gets in to it it just freezers without getting wet, moisture will kill the pollen.Spray the room down with water with a small amount of bleach in it after you done though then once dry wipe it all down with just clean warm water.Change the filter sleeve,i have known many a grow messed up because they did not change filter sleeve after breeding

Yes, masterbate that male, and save his spunk in a bag, then throw it in the freezer for safe keeping. ...

Wow.. It's only been 20 days since I tossed my male. I was thinking it was time to harvest seeds, but looking at this post made me realize it's not time.

The crazy thing is that I have amber trichomes so although the bud is ready the seeds have a ways to go.. Some of the seeds are getting hard, but on I pulled was still gushy.

What strain were The males? I'd have bro'd out with them in another room and collected some pollen. Bleach and water will take care of anything scattered.

What's the consensus? does the seeds look done? This is from the middle of th plant. I'd probably err on the side of caution and let them mature if it will help guarantee success.. The seed is pretty hard. Looks a little green to me. None of the seeds have fallen off the plant.

The trichomes are way past maturity and this plant is like "Harvest me already"

if I had that seed I would expect it to pop no problem, looks fresh but developed

I harvested. I got probably 200 seeds from a tiny plant. Some of them look a bit green, but there should be plenty of good ones. I have one wrapped in a paper towel now to see if it pops.

One question. Do they need to dry for a certain amount of time? Or can I expect them to pop soon after harvest?

Once they get the outer edge done I would think they are viable.

I have seen these greener types that are not done that looks much better.

200 seeds wow. I personally bought some coloidal silver to make seeds and am very excited to try the process, not a whole lot of information to be found on the process here though. 200 seeds would last a LONG time. Did you try and "dose" the entire female plant?
