Slight leaf curl. 1st time grower need advice

Hey guys
Fox farm soil. Temps range from 75-85(lights on when high heat of summer) but mostly 75-80 range. Lights 400watt mh about 18 inches away from tops

Anyways noticed some curling. Dealt with a ph issue yesterday. Flushed the plants and added a tiny bit of dolomite lime to the top soil. Reading about 6.6 now from 5.2. Not exactly sure how the ph dropped so much since fed them nutes 1 time and it was ph balanced. All regular water is balanced at 6.5-7.

Anyone have some insight on the slight curl on the tips? Some curl up some down.

Your plant is overfed. Just stop feeding. FF soils usually don't need any nutes for a couple of weeks.

That 400w MH should be fine @ 12" for minimum stretch, unless you have some newborn seedlings in there.

A leaf curling down usually means excessive nitrogen. Probably related to your off PH. When dolomite lime is mixed into soil prior to planting, I've noticed the plant can take much heavier feedings. Next time mix in 2 tablespoons of dolomite lime for every gallon of soil. But all in all, your plants look very good. Don't stress.

If your using fox farms ocean forest soil there's no need to even be adjusting the ph of your water the soil buffers itself ....ph swing in soil is a good thing ......I use ffof soil and never ph my water for years ....and like mentioned above there's ample food for a while in that soil .......I'm not sure which soil your using exactly cause you just said ff ......but if it's ocean forest your good on the ph thing ......no need to do any fun stuff with your water except give it to your girls
