I haven't tried LP canibis. So I can't comment on that. However, I do invest in cgc, so let it grow. I'm up 52%. DC average at 2.69. I always thought I'd sell at 4.20 but I don't know now. It hit 4.20 a few times on Friday.

Remember Bre -X. Greed has away of making things right.

I remember another period in Canadas history where if you invested some capital you were able to see a great return. Now the particular time that I speak of was fully supported by the governments of the time. Some people were disenfranchised by this investment strategy and their lives were negatively impacted, but still the investors made money. True, these disenfranchised people were covered by laws enacted to give them their rights, but looking back may have been misguided by todays acceptable investment strategies or maybe not listening to you give investment advice. For 200 years this strategy to make money legally negatively affected some 4000 people in Canada. It is called slavery - I am not for sale.

We as a group will not be lay down and be stepped on, disrespected, or used as a pissing post for anyone. I am old, I am tired, and I am PISSED OFF. That is not good for you or the Lousy Producers.

Making a living of fucking sick out of their money aint much of a living. Lots cash - no ethics = being morally broke.

Penny MMJ stocks...lol. CGC is fighting for a potential $5B Rec market, $7B MAX if you count the back door export deals of schwag to Germany, Oz, and Brazil. 32 players, $7B....a lot of players fighting for a sliver of a very small pie? CGC market cap is insanely high (and insanely share diluted) for a company that has operating costs that exceeds revenue by double digits.

You're better investing in tech, then betting on a crappy MMJ company, soon to become crappy Rec MJ company. My FB stock is up 338% since their IPO in 2012....seriously, go buy tech! ;)

I don't get how Canada can legalize Cannabis in the same way as in Colorado and Washington, meaning it being sold in stores by privately owned companies (if that's what they intend) when they signed an international treaty which specifies that they have to do it in the same way as opium, which is that it all has to be sold to a Gov't agency. It does say that only the agency can "wholesale" though, nothing about retail, so I guess the agency can wholesale it to dispensaries like wholesaling opium to pharmacies. Logically, medical weed should be sold in pharmacies like opiates. Rec would probably have to be sold at commissions of some sort, like liquor. Article 23, section 2. b) rules out home cultivation for personal use. Canada is actually in violation of the treaty right now. Guess you can kiss that goodbye at some point.

BTW I don't know why the text in the quote box is italicized. This forum is screwing up. There isn't even any text in the click boxes at the top, where you make links and stuff. They're all blank until the mouse is over them. One day a few months ago they just all disappeared and never came back. It's a game of guess which is the one you want.
Article 28
CONTROL OF CANNABIS
1. If a Party permits the cultivation of the cannabis plant for the production of cannabis or cannabis resin, it shall apply thereto the system of controls as provided in article 23 respecting the control of the opium poppy.
2. This Convention shall not apply to the cultivation of the cannabis plant exclusively for industrial purposes (fibre and seed) or horticultural purposes.
3. The Parties shall adopt such measures as may be necessary to prevent the misuse of, and illicit traffic in, the leaves of the cannabis plant.

Article 23
NATIONAL OPIUM AGENCIES
1. A Party that permits the cultivation of the opium poppy for the production of opium shall establish, if it has not already done so, and maintain, one or more government agencies (hereafter in this article referred to as the Agency) to carry out the functions required under this article.
2. Each such Party shall apply the following provisions to the cultivation of the opium poppy for the production of opium and to opium:
a) The Agency shall designate the areas in which, and the plots of land on which,
cultivation of the opium poppy for the purpose of producing opium shall be permitted.
b) Only cultivators licensed by the Agency shall be authorized to engage in such
cultivation.
c) Each licence shall specify the extent of the land on which the cultivation is permitted.
d) All cultivators of the opium poppy shall be required to deliver their total crops of opium to the Agency. The Agency shall purchase and take physical possession of such crops as soon as possible, but not later than four months after the end of the harvest.
e) The Agency shall, in respect of opium, have the exclusive right of importing, exporting, wholesale trading and maintaining stocks other than those held by manufacturers of opium alkaloids, medicinal opium or opium preparations. Parties need not extend this exclusive right to medicinal opium and opium preparations.

3. The governmental functions referred to in paragraph 2 shall be discharged by a single government agency if the constitution of the Party concerned permits it.

Canada just told the UN that we intend to rescind our commitment to the treaty and legalize cannabis. We don't give a rat's ass what any other country thinks about how we achieve that. Canadian patients have had the right to grow our own cannabis for over 15 years...that treaty ain't worth the hemp paper it's written on.

You mean the same international treaties signed by the US? The same way they did it
It is the old international treaty trick - again. these 3 treaties have a clause that allows any signing nation to back out of these treaties by informing the UN of that decision - JT did that. A tired old tune they like to sing.....
