Ok,

so I dunno if some of you have noticed or not but as of right now that I`ve seen myself (FarmingToronto) and Dr.Chronic have added the tag to our signatures.

The reason I decided to create this little idea was because of all the haters who take the time to come into the CFL forum of all places and talk shit about our lights. Listen, we`re not retarded.. its not like we just crawled outta caves and have never heard of HID`s.. Most of us are using CFLs because we can`t afford HIDs or plain don`t want to use HIDs I`m sure there are a billion more reasons that don`t need to be covered. I didn`t start this thread to be a discussion about the lights at all or a debate.. I started this thread to ask those of you who are part of either the Micro Revolution OR just love their CFLs to join together !!!

As such, to Show your support add the following line to your signature !

I'm a first time grower and decided to go CFL mostly because of the cost/heat benefits and seems to have worked out great, i think im very close to harvest and can't wait to see the final results...In other words CFLs ALL THE WAY..keep on growing R.C.C

I have a micro grow... were I simply can not use HID... So far, I have proved wrong.. all the rumors I heard about cfl's not worth a shit for growing.

I was told that CFL's will stretch your plants
---Not true.. my plants were short, bushy with lots of nudes after nudes

I was told that CFL's will give you fewer branches
---Not true.. like I said... nude after nude

I was told that you needed a large amount of cfls just for one plant
---Not true... I vegged 4 plants with just 4 26w cfl's.. thats is just one cfl per plant!

I was told that you can not flower with cfl's..
---Not true.. I'm flowering right now, and things look promising

I was told that cfl's give you small fluffy popcorn buds
---I guess, I'll find out in about 4 weeks.. but from the looks of things, I doubt I will have to worry about popcorn buds =]

This is a side branch about half way into flower, and getting bigger every day =]... oh and I'm flowering with 6 23w cfl's per 2 plants... that's 3 cfl's per plant!!





Are CFL's better then HID?


Depends... on how you use them... In your average grow... No they are not better then HID.. don't even come close

But in micro grows... they can do things that would be impossible or straight up dangerous with HID.

On a side note.... I truly believe that 6500k cfl's, outperform MH HID's in vegging.. watt per watt, if used properly. (extra close to the plant.)


As a proud memeber of the MICRO REVOLOTION... I know the value of these little underdogs of the cannabis cultivation world.

If you find yourself growing with cfl's and are having problems... don't hesitate to ask.. we can guide you on how to get the best out of your CFL's

Yeah, count me in for now. Although I will be switching to HPS when the money is around, I will be keeping CFLs in the mix 4life!

Look what I've done with only 12 cfls:



Another 3-6 weeks and I should have at least half an ounce from the big one in the back of the middle tub.
