I don't mind indica dom tbh! I'm just happy to be growing And if your rule of thumb is correct I should have 1 month worth of grow in the current pot.. Ish.. Probably going to transplant at 3 weeks, just to be sure. (That's how long the nutes from my soil is supposed to last at least)



Thanks a lot for the kind words..! I'm loving the look as well, I find myself checking her out a few times a day.. But.. Where would the nitrogen come from? My water? Or the soil mix?

Soil mix prob. Some of them run a little hot. Not a bad thing when the plant is older but can be hard on a baby.

Btw... I noticed with mine, they were super sensitive to nutes at the start. Had actually a lot of problems. Once they got transplanted and a bit older....I couldn't feed them enough. MONSTERS PLANTS AND EATERS!!! HANDS DOWN THE BIGGest plants I've ever grown outdoors!!!!! even the stalks are bigger then wine bottles. They really really stretch in flower so be careful and have a good plan of attack. Mine are just going into flower right now. If you want u can check out my journal on them (attached to my avatar) so you can get an idea of their growth patterns. In love with this strain so far.

I doubt it has really good drainage. I haven't done anything special about it. I just use a 1 liter pot, looks like this

lined with a coffe filter in the bottom to avoid soil spilling out through the drainage holes.. and this soil http://www.bloomshydroponics.co.uk/bio-green-grow-mix-50l.html

I've been warned about the flower stretch before, I'll check it out! How much space do you reckon I need to leave? I was planning of vegging 1/3 of my tent height, then letting it flower. Just so I was playing it safe..

I do not own a light like yours so can't comment on the recommendations for distance to canopy, but you need to figure out first, with the light the highest it will go, and the recommended distance to the plants how much of your space is left. Then go from there.

Hmm, I was just told that it was a decent way to avoid the soil spilling out of the drainage holes.. It seems to drain decently.. When I've watered it, there have been runoff. (I haven't overwatered it)

Well, I got a pretty good idea of the max height of the plant. around 120cm. Since the tent is 160, and the distance from canopy is around 40cm.

Yeah that does sound safer. They stretched over 2 feet in one week for me last week and they get full sun. That not mentioning the rest of the stretch....

That's good that it drains well. If so then yeah go for it

Count on a 3x stretch to be safe. If it's an indica dominant one(s) then 2x but count on 3x.

Day 13, temp at 29c RH at 40%.

As discussed the plant seems to be suffering from a nute burn from the soil, which is another reason that my next grow will be in coco. I flushed the plant a bit with ph'd water, to try and help it out a little, but I'm just going to ride out the nute burn and hope for the best, even if she looks bad at the moment.

Fyi coco comes with its own set of problems. It's not a fix. You should just read your bag of soil first. The nutes are listed. If it's too hot just mix it half and half with some top soil.

Well, as far as I understood it coco makes the plant grow faster, decreases the chance of pests, and requires nutes from the beginning, right? An added bonus is that coco is really easy to store (doesn't weigh and fill that much compared to soil)

Let's concentrate on this grow first.
First thing is getting the watering thing down.
Let the pots get super light before feeding and as far as the nute burn goes you'll just have to ride it out. It's no biggie.

That's what I've been doing actually. Water until they're soaked. Wait until the soil is dry down to around 1 cm'ish.. /half an inch. Seems like the new growth is doing fine, without yellowing.. And the plant is starting to smell.. Not like flowering.. But you know.. like a thistle.. when you get close enough.. If that makes any sense.

Day 14, temp at 29c RH at 50%. I can't seem to get the temperature down from 29c, it's really hot outside. Luckily winter is coming.

The leaves are looking worse and worse. But the new growth seems to be doing ok.

Day 14 ½ update.. Plant looking horrible :/ Removed two major leaves that were dead from the nute burn.

If I were you.... I would go find some light soil or mix some up half and half like I suggested, and then carefully pull up your plants with soil and root ball intact. Rinse off all of the soil from the roots and re pot it. But of course that's just my opinion.
