Hope it works out with your father. My FIL had that and lived for years afterward.

Your plants are looking good. But what became of your two seedlings?
The seedlings are a great example of how I am always learning. The were growing short and the nodes were so tightly packed that I thought they bad. So I off'd them only to find out that what they need was to be transplanted. Live and learn.

I did cull a few seedlings when I had 10-12 of a strain going at the time. But there were several I could have culled, and just dug extra holes for instead. Some didn't make it through the gauntlet of deer, slugs, dry weather, etc,, but a few of them are chest high now. But I'm growing in the woods, and don't have a max plant count.

I think it's time to start looking for next years strains. My hope for next year is to do 4 different strains, 6 plants of each. 2 strains sativa Dom(12), 1 strain as a hybrid(6) and 1 strain indica(6). I know I will have to get the indicas started in like December so they have a chance of getting big. I don't know if I want all seeds or if clones are good enough. Does anyone have any recommendations? And know where the strains could be found?

Also is there anyone in the Sonoma county area with some good pollen? I would love to pollinate a few branches on my GSC and blue dream.

Well doesn't look like I'm going to find any polen. Next year I will have to work harder to get a male plant. But I think I have decided on a strain for next year, which will be big budda blue cheese.

Well good news! My buddy is coming threw with some pollen, not sure what strain yet but hey I won't complain as this will be my first breeding project outdoors. GSC and Blue dream are going to have a lower branch on each to produce seeds. Time to research just how I'm going to go about not seeding my entire crop. Wish me luck!

just be real careful man keep the pollen away from the plants and just brush a little bit onto a few lower buds, then wash everything afterwards

Idk if your blue dream is from hso or not but I'm growing them outdoors too. Has been really hard keeping them green. Lots of n and lots of epsom salts. I feel ur pain! ;)

That's the same problem I'm having, since it's a clone from a so so club I have no idea if it's from hso but since you have the same problem I want to say it is. That same club has a lot of strains from Cali connection and they have their blue dream haze which I might pick up just to throw it outside to breed with.

Might be then.... going to give them some more epsom salts tomorrow.... I remember reading on a review site that it really has an unquenchable hunger for cal/mag/nitrogen. Well that's no lie!!!! I'm still in love with this strain so far. Monster plants lol

Every feeding I give it General organics calmag+ And it's still not enough, don't know why I paid so much when I should have been using Epsom salts.
This plant is definitely a monster though, it's out grown my other two plants and was a ton smaller to begin with. Key to me wanting to make seeds from it.

the buds are so sticky the amount of pollen airborne is minimal at best when using a small paint brush. If you get any seeds at all in other buds it should only be a stray here or there, you'd have to be pretty damn careless if u unintentionally seeded a whole cola using the brush method. Just know that a little pollen goes a long way.

As for the girls: I'm 6'4" so they arnt tiny. GSC on the left, blue on the right. Green candy is hidden behind blue now.

I know, just stating that going overboard with pollen is where unintentional seeding will occur, but in large part being careless. If your careful the plastic and spraying isn't necessary. And all the water does is keep the pollen from getting airborne
