you can recover it and smoke it. but be very careful when you cure it. because you can get another kind of mold when curing as well, and that would be worst. i got one harvest with this "mold" in flowering. cleaning it and fixing humidity made it not to re-surface again.

this one in flowering stage is not really a mold, but a saprophitic fungus growing of dead plant matter (even the red pistils) due to the high humidity. also after harvest dry the plant very well. 1 week at least with good ventilation on nearby.

if you get mold in curing however you cannot recover it unfortunately.
Thank you. I have realised I made a HUGE mistake with my first grow I had everything on a timer including my fan and air filter . I chopped it and got rid of the mold (small bit) here's hoping it drys and cures OK. If not I will learn.
I have one more blue cheese feminised plant in flower now hopefully it turns out OK now I made this mistake.

Thanks everyone I appreciate your help. So I noticed it just before I went to chop it. I have chopped it carefully and removed the bits that looked like mold only a very small portion. I have it hanging in my spare room hopefully it drys and cures OK!
I have another blue cheese feminised plant in flower now and I won't make the mistake I have my fan and air filter is on full time not a timer light my light and will keep check on the humidity with the digital reader.

veg i think its higher the better. Marijuana plants love it humid, its just that so does mold, only issue is mold on the buds so once buds start to form you need to worry about mold, but generally you wont get mold until late in flower.
Depends on what type of mold you're talking about. Powdery mildew is a bitch that can strike at all times.

Don't always trust timers. Always double check stuff. I am no expert but I roll my eyes when young guys talk about automating things and how easy it should all be.

It is real easy until mites show up and you are not checking the undersides of leaves..

Growing seems so easy until people start to actually do it. Just keep checking stuff and always be learning new things here on these forums.. A $8 or 9 temp and humidity gauge is vital and check it all the time. Simple stuff but vital. I have a cheap $4 gauge. Temp is harder to read but humidity gauge is great.

yes, that is exactly the issue. in one grow i had to do the same because of necessity (fan and extractor on a 12h timer). and that was the time when this grey fungus showed up, cause in the night humidity was going up like crazy.

at least the extractor needs to be on 100% of the time if you grow in a room or a tent.

Hey guys can anyone tell me what this is or if it's normal? It's only on one bud and when I touched it it seems like loads of trics together. Tbh my first look it looked like a web? But closer inspection it isn't. Or I hope not.
I'm scared

Botritus. Bud rot.

submerge it entirely in water. change water every day for about a week. leave to dry. it will look and smell less impressive, but smoke smoother and has better chance of staying mould free

if you keep getting this problem

then around week 4 of bloom spray with "bud rot stop" or some barley mold killer extract

you need to keep the buds sprayed with it for 30mins to 2 hours its got a bacteria that eats all the mold spores, or check the grow area and air vents for any sources of mold and give better air circulation maybe some more UVB band in your lighting would help or lower humidity, but it happens sometimes you normally notice it on a random stem during trimming, best to cut it out and dry the rest keep an eye on it when curing burp the jars and keep looking for mold

sometimes freezer or water cure can help

Sounds pretty dramatic to put submerge it just the one bud with the mold I take it? It's been chopped to dry now so hopefully I caught it on time!

in my case i just dried it very well, and then cured in jars.

opening the jars every day i didn't get any more mold.

Atleast you know to keep the air circulating 24/7 now, having a humidity meter in the room is always a good thing though ( I personally use one that has an external probe, probe goes inside tent, but temp/humidity is displayed outside the tent) so you dont have to open the tent during lights off, they sell them @ pet stores for $15
