bad fungus... how bad?

I have an otherwise totally healthy plant, but in two very localized spots, there is intense thick fungus/mold (around injuries -- the one in the pic is the worse of the two, where we had super-cropped).

How bad is this? Yes, I sprayed it with the fungicide in the pic after taking the pic. Sprayed enough to wash most of the mold off.

Is this an "amputate the limb" sort of thing? Diagnosis? Prognosis?

Never seen that before, but if the plant is healthy ide just do what your doing already spray the mold and hope it don't spread
Thanks for the reply. I've read about fungus that becomes systemic, that's mostly what I'm worried about. I've also read that injuries are vulnerable, but never experienced it before. I'll spray all the joints where we bent them as a precaution.

Never seen anything like it it hardly even looks like mold, I guess just keep a close eye on it over the next few days and if it spreads in spite of treatment then amputate

Since first posting that this morning, I noticed that the leaves off of that stem are yellowing, so I went ahead and cut off that branch. It seemed too far gone.

I did some more research, and that plant has been getting watered when the garden around it gets watered, which in warm weather is daily. Oooops. Over watered = "Fusarium or stem rot"

From the quick Google I just did it seems as though fusarium can be down in your roots aswell which would suck

Yeah.... what I read said something about how the plant "sometimes can be saved". Live and learn. We're hoping for the best.

We had that same strain in that same spot in the garden last year and treated it the same, and last years was the best plant we had that season. But since then we've planted a lot more of everything from flowers to fruit trees, so it is surrounded by other plants and not getting as much sun. It's also been a strange summer weather-wise. That's why we plant way more than we need, hopefully enough will finish to carry us through.
