True that. If I could grow in my yard, I doubt I would be on my {55 year old} hands and knees crawling through a thicket of grapevines with a bucket of water. I think I'm going to buy a garden hose every time I go to town the next few months, so that by spring I can run water to a few of my close by patches.
How low is your water table you may be able to get a well going my old gg patch there was an abandoned well house so I taped into that life was way better

I have a shallow well my folks used to use for whiskey making, but it's on the wrong end of the property. I have a couple of rain catchers, but I don't put them right on top of my patches. More of a central location. If it is found, the patches might not be found. I try to plant a fruit tree or have a food plot by the rain catcher. And I do have one patch near a pond. I have river and creek access, but that is too risky. When the choppers do fly, they always go right down the major streams.

What I took away from this season is that by starting later, you don't have as long to worry about bugs, food and water. I may not pop anything before June next year.

One of the best things I've ever done was run water directly to my patches!

It will be pretty easy at the FP patch. There is water already there, I just have to add a spigot and run some hose. The SOL, GV and Sol patches are all close to each other. I ran a stealth waterline to near the edge of those woods last year. I use it to get water now, but I have to cross a three trail road with the buckets. I'm going to disc the road, and a small food plot, then run the waterhose in the disc rut into the woods for a couple of yards and cover it up. From there I can run hoses closer to the patches.

I use plastic trash cans for my rain catchers. If I were to find a good deal on a metal water trough, I could hook the hose to the drain hole and let it gravity feed.

Hey thumper looking great, what strains are those?

Season is still going for me, two week forecast looks good, real hot and sunny this weekend. Been chopping a little bit of mold here and there but nothing like previous years.

Took this pic early today, poison warp. She has eight baseball size colas plus all the other buds on her, have yet to find a spec of mold on her as well. Very impressed.
