Root Riot starter cubes

I have these starter cubes but have never used them.
Usually I just soak my autoflower seeds for 24 hours then plant in the soil directly.

I'm considering embedding these cubes in the soil pot, wetting them good, and after the seed soak then into the cubes.

I'm thinking they'll get a faster start?

I don't like rapid rooters, rock wool, root riot and etc for seedlings. In my experiences they keep the seed too wet and growth is slow and also I had to cut a seed out of one because it was dying but as soon as I removed it placing it in soil the little plant took off.

There good cos they take up less space

you can put 10 to 1000 on a tray with cuttings or seeds in them water the tray and pick out the best ones to plant up

are they the PU foam type ones ? there pretty good yeah, but I find rockwall slabs are better as they are bigger I cut a 300mm or so bit of slab and put 5 to 20 seeds or cuttings in one

less hassle then watering all them little cubes but yeah they are pretty good better than coco pellets

I would just plant them in soil man, the cubes are in my opinion great for clones but not seeds

I just think dirt is better cause it's cheap

The key is that you squeeze out some of the water with them. Then mist to keep moist until tap root comes out of the bottom then transplant into your medium.

Geez I've tried so many different ways over the years and as @MeJuana said too many issues arise with too much moisture and I've lost seedlings that are one off gifts and rare strains. Truth be known I've rarely ever lost a seedling in soil as compared to other mediums. I'll just stick with plain old dirt the way nature intended. It's probably mostly my fault being too heavy on the water but knowing that and myself I've gone back to dirt.
