Yuck. Sex parties involving old men, drugs and 14 year old girls. As the author said, one good thing to come from the revelations of sexual predatory behavior by Trump is that women can see the strength in their numbers, that the fault lies not in the child being taken advantage of and abused by adult men who knew exactly what they were doing.

The fact that other women, in particular those with a history of abuse, had similar thoughts is affirming, and it is a relief that we can finally say it out loud. The resulting dialogue has been healing in many ways-perhaps the one silver lining to come out of this toxic election, and this toxic candidate.

A lot of people on this board came out and said early on that something creepy was lurking behind his statements and comments. Comments Trump made even about his daughters. It still surprises me that he was given the chance at the most powerful job in the world.

But make no mistake-this October surprise in progress is not a joyful development. It is horrifying. It is devastating, because there are actual victims involved, and they are actual human beings. It should be a gut check to our nation that a man like Donald Trump could rise to a level of such prominence. This is something that should have never happened. The fact that it did speaks volumes about how we value women and girls in our society.

And I don't think for one minute that staunch Trump supporters didn't see his creepiness too. Not that anything creepy and fucked up should be thought beyond @Illinois Enema Bandit, the openly and self-declared member of a racist white male gay prison gang who repeatedly fantasized about prison bondage and rape upon another on this board. But also, this speaks to the low esteem for herself and other women that @Flaming Pie so carefully avoided noting how creepy the Donald's words and actions are. Same goes for Red, Choomer, and the legions of other right wingers who post here.

Anybody who saw and heard some of the things Trump has said and done this election cycle should not be surprised to learn he is a child rapist. Supporting somebody like that to be prez of the US? Really.
