When should I start flowering?

All my plants are around 9-12 inches my grow tent is 5x5x6.5 I only have about 5 feet of space from the bottom of the air cooled hood(when it's raised all the way up) to the bottom of the tent. I wanna get the best yield possible all of them are different strains but strains that don't stretch too much. I have 6 plants under a 600w HPS Still vegging I had the under t5s for the first 2 weeks

wow you're gonna be hurting for room soon.... maybe 4 next time. this way you can veg properly and be ok. they look stretched and thin... imo. how far is your light?

I actually Lst trained them a few days ago so that's why they look like that I had them under t5 4' 8 bulb fixture(432w) at about 2" away from the bulb for the first 2 weeks then I kept them 20" away from a 600w air cooled HPS light since then. I just raised the light some more so I could get some stretch because the nodes looked a little tight. I attached a pic of them from a few days ago

that t5 will do a better job right now for veg and it's cheaper to run. let them veg out with the t5 and flower under the 600w. 20" is far..... here's a pic under a t5 8 bulb. this is what you want

How far should I keep the t5 bulbs from the plants? I heard its okay to veg under the HPS? How much do you think I'll yield off each one if I start flowering tomorrow?

your plants will tell you how far...with a 8 bulb t5 for your size plant I would say foot or less....the bigger they get the more light you can hit them with...you could veg under hps but you wouldn't want to. they get tall ...that t5 will get them bushy ...then flower under hps

you want tight nodes....those huge spaces between nodes are pointless! just take up room

Okay cool thanks for the info so how much longer do you think I should veg for? I only got 5 feet of head room and since you told me im gonna be in a tight space soon im getting worried lol

next time 2 plants maybe 3-4 and you'll feel better... veg is where you train your plant...very important to getting the right amount of tops...if not she'll be tall and lanky.... here's one 5×5 plant.

Those look nice how long did you veg those for?? I have a good amount of tops Atleast 5-6 on like 4 of the plants. I was thinking of doing SOG next time how many plants u think I could do in my 5x5 with the 600w

I would do 2 plants... my veg was about 6-8 weeks...but now I have a room full of veg I just pull from...they been in there awhile now..

5x5 room Is a bit big for a 600w. 4x4 is perfect for a 600w

4x4 is big for 600, 5x5 is way bigger, it is 9 sq ft more than 4x4. A 5x5 is also 56.25% bigger than 4x4. you need more than 1kw to light a 5x5

and it's more like 35%....16sqf.... 25sqf

25 is bigger than 16 b y 9, and 9 is 56.25%x16 so it is 56.25% bigger. in other words, you have to take 56.25% of 16 and add it to 16 to get 25
