Well I didn't quite reach my goal to finish harvesting before Halloween. I got the Sour Diesel down, and the rest of the Grand Master, but still have the Photon Blaster left to finish. She still has all her lower buds and a few larger ones left. At least I had a bountiful year. It's a good problem to have!

Well its been a good year. No rippers, and I had to go buy more gallon jars, so I must have beat my previous seasons yields. Still got more drying on the racks but the last of it is finally harvested now. I'm so sick of trimming and could use a trip to the chiropractor but it's so rewarding to have another season put away. I'll post some pics soon of the final haul.

I have some that looks like that top one down here in NW Florida. Great for pictures, but I didn't know they were edible.
Sandhill Larry and anyone else reading here - NEVER EVER eat wild mushrooms that 'look like' edible mushrooms. Unless you know exactly what you're eating, it's very easy to poison yourself eating bad mushrooms that look EXACTLY like edible mushrooms. I've known a couple people that nearly died from eating poisonous mushrooms that they were 'positive' were edible ones.

I had a buddy in college who got his degree in fungology from Humboldt State and he had some amazing stories of people who didn't realize the danger. I'm sure MJMama is very qualified, I have immense respect for her knowledge of soil and cannabis growing, but if you're a mushroom novice, it's not worth betting with your life.

Not to worry. Taking pictures is all I plan to do with them. I had a close call with Magic Mushrooms in the 80's. Over time you have to take more to get the same trip, and I had too many. Caused me some kidney damage. Saved thousands of dollars over the years in beer and soda though.

Yes I'm taking a class in wild mushroom hunting so I get everything checked by an expert and even then I still haven't eaten any of my finds. I just love finding them. There are a few that don't have any poisonous look alikes that I would be tempted to eat if I find them. And even then, never eat them raw. Cook the crap out of them, take a small bite, then wait to see how you feel before eating the rest later.

MJM - my apologies if you felt like I was questioning your knowledge of mushrooms, I certainly wouldn't intentionally make that mistake. It's a subject I've had some first hand experience with and my 'warning' was meant more as a public service announcement to warn those who didn't realize the danger.

Between your skills at growing connoisseur cannabis and your taking classes in soil and wild mushrooms, I'm seriously questioning my lazy ass. So thank you for reminding me that there are plenty of excellent college classes and we're never too old to learn new things. Peace :peace:

Today was awesome. 15 of us planted 300 trees plus lots of flowers and native grasses as part of a habitat restoration project in Yuba County. If anyone wants to join us for the next planting day, we are going back on December 10th with the goal of planting 500 more trees!
