So depressed because I got rejected by a girl. Feeling suicidal.. Help!

Got rejected by a girl last night. It was my first rejection in my entire life (im 23). I feel so ugly and worthless now. How long does the depressing feeling last?

Did you become depressed when you were rejected? How did you cope

You're over reacting. Just say to yourself "This happens to everyone once in a while."... also repeat to yourself that "This too shall pass" That is from The Buddha... This too shall pass.. This too shall pass... etc.. Just remind yourself of other bad times in your life and how there were good times soon after.. Everything is temporary my brother...

A few other things to think about:
In 20 years that girl will look like dog shit on a stick and you will be better than ever. I look at the "hot girls" that I graduated with and trust me... I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole now that they are in their 40's..

Just because she said No doesn't mean that you suck.. She just doesn't want you right now.. There is no other meaning. You are adding the rest of the story in your head. Cognitive Behavioral Theory teaches us to find the truth in the statement.
The untrue statement is I was rejected so I must suck, or I'm ugly, or nobody loves me and I should kill myself.
The truth is that a girl just said no to a relationship with you. That's it. No other meaning..

I'm sure you will have hundreds of other relationships in your life and fall in love many times. Looking back you will wonder why you were so upset.

Trust me.. this too shall pass..

Thanks thats very helpful. Everything is temporary is motivating. Life may suck now as i get rejected, but doesnt mean it will be like that forever

All the girls I have been with in the past have made the first move on me. I havent been with many girls but I have made literally zero approaches

Im feeling a lot better now! Im shutting out all the negativity and bad times in my life and focusing on the good times. The bad times shall pass

on a more serious note, take a moment to remember about the times you have felt rejected and how that might have peaked your interest or motivated you to keep trying to get that girl or feeling sorry for yourself etc etc. Now think of it this way, is all this time and energy just to satisfy your Ego worth it ? Because in all honesty isn't that what its all about ? Trying to prove to yourself that you are good enough and you can have her ? Fuck that ..realize and accept you can't win em all, don't waste your time and move on.

cant win em all
billions of other girls out there. no point getting all sad and depressed over 1 rejection
