Bacteria & humic acid will hep prevent this... Superthrive & other products like it can cause this if used in abundance
Minor control of the amino production!
Some things have good amino's in them - kelp is one.
I found years ago that stupidthrive was only
any "good" in veg. Does nothing in bloom for the plant.....But, yeah it could supply too many amino's. Could be altering the plants amino production!....It's basically a sham.
Ok. I get that.
I forgot to mention in my post I feel I was using too much nitrogen in flower when I grew that plant and I have not seen these anomalies or any real regrowth since I learned to taper off feed better.
Thoughts?
And if it is amino acid imbalance why?
And since it was said to be specific to certain strains by a 35 year breeder do Thai strains have genetic imbalances?
There
is a genetic factor to it! Landrace strains are old and have been around for centuries. They can have area's of plants that have genetic damage that moves along in the natural breeding. It may have been a
ancient genetic trait that still can be expressed by those -O- so old landrace strains. you know, not quite evolved out of it yet... Remember that sativa's are equatorial and are exposed to more light over time. Or that high Mountain strains get more chromosome damaging UV radiation!
These could be factors for that Amino affect on the Genetic "trait" being expressed......Still, the big point
is that amino's are directly involved in genetic expression..
As far as amino imbalance - Supplements contain amino's.....Nutrient content affects natural plant amino production. That could be many things.....pH of soils can effect amino availability.....Nutrient levels in the plant affect amino levels too......
Hmm, I do remember many a year ago. My brother had the Vietnamese Black that I have.....OLD strain from war seeds....It did it for him a cpl times....
I haven't ever seen it in the strain here.....I did some IBL work with her to make her more stable though.....
Source info would be like reading up on the use of amino acids in genetic expression.....Amino's work in all living things that way...
I never really thought about this expression in our plants....much.....
Well, there's my 2 cents on it!
