Just fired up my quantum board with the hlg80h c700a pictures don't do it justice these are stupid bright I'll post some pics of my g8led retrofit. Anyone that has any doubt about these lights needs to see them in person you will be nothing but impressed. I hope you guys are going to stock a ton of these

Always wanted to make a lamp in under 10 Mins. Thought i could do it with Pre-Drilled Pin heatsinks but it takes a lot longer.
Assembled this in 9 mins. May be someone can assemble in under 5.
Used a screw driver, 2 zip ties and wire stripper
Could have spent a few more minutes to shorten the driver cables and to improve wiring.

I found the link on his web site and also that you can daisy chain these babies together. What does that kit replace? Two of them hanging close together can kick a 600 HPS? It looks fantastic.

The diode area is about 7" x 11" per board and of course multiple boards can be daisy chained together.

Right you'd need about 2.5- 3.4 umol/j to do that in overhead lighting (reflector loss)

3000k here is a comparison between CXB-3590 3500k vs 3000K Samsung 561C

I wonder if 4 of those boards in an aluminum frame will equal a 1000 Watt HPS in light output.

How much wattage at the wall? 500 watts?

there are people here far better qualified to answer that than I am. I'd say, depends how hard you want to drive them. I'd guess 5-6 boards at 75 watts might do it. Stephen will set us straight on this. I know the photon output is insane on these!
