There are things I agree with here and more things I don't!
I grow most of my "personal" outdoors, in
my soil, in containers. They go out after just expressing the beginning of the stretch, and about 2 weeks before they would "flip" to bloom if they were "in the ground" plants.
They are kept in direct sun for 90+% of the day! Hiding a grow in the woods and less then 75% direct lighting doesn't get the job done to well!
This makes for closer nodal spacing and no real stretch as she just attempts to reg veg before going right back to bloom. I get massive buds in length.
The outdoors supplies the wonderful natural light spectrum that has those fantastic UV bands that actually increase the potency!
The only real problem I have. Is the season is too short for a real solid finish sometimes. Even when I bring plants in and out after dark and right before the sun starts to come up. Till it gets too cold...A greenhouse would be nice but, it would attract to much attention on my properties if running late season! We have a small one for starting celery/onions at the muck farm.
I have
never had any indoor other then ones run with UV supplemental lighting come close to out-door potency!
I have
never had
any indoor, in
any non organic method run, taste as good as organic soil run plants! IN or OUT doors!
@vostok You are so very correct there V! The make-up of the soil and it's available nutrient profile, along with differing bacterial profiles,
from my experience, make for differing Terp profiles!
IF, you are growing indoors and adding any P sulfates, or K sulfates or simply S in any way. You
are "enhancing" the terp profiles of the plant. By the use of P sulfates, your expressing a more "berry" profile and with K sulfates a more lemon and citrus profile...The use of S it's self will increase trichome production and thus, enhance the natural terp profile of the plant by volume increase
of terps..
So then. Building your soil, even for in-ground (if the season is long enough) and with a little micro management.....Will
kill indoors!
UNLESS you run organic and supply supplemental lighting in the UV bands. If you run HPS, you'll need some more blue spectrum to help out too!
IF you know what your doing! It can be hard to tell! But I have old school friends ask specifically
for my outdoor, even over the same strains run indoors......It seems to have a more "trippy" quality to it, and the buzz seems to last longer too.
It's my party weed and the Hash I give out at a local growers/friends Christmas party is all made from outdoor.....The outdoor shatter is for New Years....
Outdoor
RULES in my book!
