I grow in peat moss and only water every 3rd day, just sayin.
NoI didn't say microbes = bugs, I just said that you need to build a little eco system if you are going natural soil route. I like permaculture as a concept but you need a lot of plant diversity to take a full advantage of it
Little off-topic, the LAW in my country states:once you start growing with organic soil and LED lights, you have to move to san francisco and start smelling your own farts.
My lobelia plant did great last year. Final repotting was 1 gallon w/FFOF, which worked with plain water for about a month, then I started seeing deficiencies. So I gradually started feeding Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro, and by the end of the year, it was a beast!Sure but you get all the benefits I listed and you get hydro results without all the hydro work
yeah i have... homegrown tomatoes in soil are by far far better then hydro imo... as i said though each to their own man have at it .. (-: isnt that what this is all about anyway?Grow a tomato in soil...then grow a tomato in hydro..eat them and then come back and describe the difference in flavour.
Sounds like my kind of market...where you at?Imo im a complete newb iv only ever smoked shitty weed i know its hydro tho n theres no smell or flavour but im pretty sure who ever grew it doesn't no shit nobody seems 2 in my neck of the woods
Its in human nature to try to make something better, sometimes it works sometimes it's a dead end - time will tell. All this fuss when soil works great. I consider hydro a hobby- passing fad with no sustainability
