Pickles has inspired me.

I am going to fashion a rig with the EB's

Going with:

2 - HLG-240H-C1050A
10 - BXEB-L1120Z-35E4000-C-A3

This should provide me with 66k LM and about 453 watts.

It will be for a 55x30 area.

Great. Thank you.

As an aside, I just today walked every inch of my Home Depot and even asked for help, but found nothing like the aluminum strips you found. So I am thinking my store just doesn't carry them. Then I looked on post 56 and found you had diligently peeled off the store label (I would have done the same thing). So not to be a PITA, but the next time you go to HD, can you take a pick of the label for those and I can see if I can order them.

saw this, but could't find your listing in my local store.

anyone ever try to build a strip light cage? I have 10 - 4 foot strips coming, maybe put 2 on each side and 2 on top?

Like a 4 x 4 space? sounds interesting. I guess if the light is being delivered to the plants then it doesn't matter if it's coming from top or bottom.

I would suggest though that you do not run them vertically, otherwise the heat will build up on the strip as it rises and the top will get very hot - run them horizontally so you would neeed a 4 x 4 spce.

I ran strip leds vertically once and they got so hot at the top I couldn't hold it.

@brahbbyB I got a par meter to borrow for a while, I measured about 14 inches under 4 of the strips @ 700ma and it read around 380 umol s.
I'll do a grid from some distances to get a better idea, but wow that surprised me.
Thanks! Don't have access to one, been MIA but before I hang the panel up I am going to enclose my drivers and clean up the wiring a bit. Working on my microcontroller code for the ESP8266 currently. I still need to slap my rig in my 2.5'x4' tent and see how the temps are. Will try to get that done by midweek.

I will put something together tonight,[/QUOTE]

@PicklesRus
 (i couldn't fine an impatient emoji, but i am really wanting/excited to see your results)

we (mostly me, well all of us probably) would love to see a few different spacing results, perhaps at different heights. and selfishly, i would like to see it at 10 lights, no particular reason....

I second that. Yes, PicklesRus put a teaser out on post 95 of 380umols about 14" under his strips that are space around 6" apart. Would be nice to know how many photons are under those strips!
