Grow tent?

Thanks. The cross bars are rated at 80 pounds so I gotta figure out how much everything weighs.
Zip ties the easier way to hang it up?
If you got the 6", the carbon filter weighs about 10lbs and the fan about 15lb (these 2 weights may be reversed, neither box was labeled but that is the approx weight of each according to the shipping info I got with mine).

Yup it's the 6 inch fusion breath. In that case I'm sure the cross bars will handle it
I pulled the trigger on that one last week with the duct, fan controller and tape. The tape is of lower quality than I was dealing with as an hvac supplier (not the stickiness just how easily it tears) but the fan seems on par with the ones I have seen of that style, and the price was right.

Wouldn't that be noisy as fuk?
I'd use heavy rubber bungy cords so there's less vibration or ratchet straps myself
I've never had any noise from the chain. I used to use decent carabiners and tons of those openable chain links. They never rot or get UV worn and crack. Sure a strap is good too.
Personally to me a bungee is not the best solution. Light cable works as well.
Well yes i have use the heavy trucker style rubber straps I will admit. But usually with a back up of better strength. Hate shit fallen on my plants. I tend to overkill things.

Gotta give good feedback on the fan. I have it on medium power and there's suction to the point the tent walls are sucked in slightly. Should I leave one of the vents at the bottom open for better intake?

When you do not have an entire room to dedicate to a grow it is an ideal way to control the environment you are growing in.
Indeed. But I would mention that having such a controlled environment isn't really necessary to grow either. Especially if you want to save money.
There's a very great deal of over complication in terms of growing that, to me, seems based around selling products.
You can grow great stuff just in a closet or in the corner of a room or where ever.

If there are specific circumstances that require then some products do offer that convenience or suitability but if it's not genuinely necessary, I prefer saving the cash

Yea. I guess it's impossible to grow marijuana without a tent.

Don't know what I was thinking, suggesting a plant that grows across the globe in a variety of conditions could survive outside a tent. I'm off my meds.

I keep my plants in the corner of the mud room. Right next to my lawn mowing clothes.
u guys with your 12 light and 12 hours dark with no light leaks are idiots. the plants don't recognize video game light as light anyway.
Sterile much?

the learning curve is not that great....no matter what, its still better to not tell anyone....so you are so right to come here
to the board for info....especially the grow section of the forum....it can be invaluable as a tool....

There's a great thread some where of a guy growing bonsai plants, cheap potting soil and miracle grow. Beautiful little plants. I could try to find it, it demonstrates how pathetically easy it is to grow decent shit at nearly zero cost.

This is among the worst advice ever given on RIU. When growing indoors environmental control is the most important aspect.
