Seriously? Sounded like a joke but I didn't want to laugh at your ill fate (even though I already have...)Water is cleaner than dirt and I have obsessive compulsive disorder.
Yes...it is mostly a joke.....I went hydro because I grow indoors in a fairly new, fairly nice home and am not too hip on hauling dirt in and out. That...and I like the science of it.....and the cleanliness. LOL!Seriously? Sounded like a joke but I didn't want to laugh at your ill fate (even though I already have...)
The main benefit of hydroponics over soil is the improved ability to get oxygen to the roots. This vastly improves speed and vigor. Secondarily, soil is heavy & messy.I'm just curious why people use hydro instead of soil. What is your personal reason you use hydro over soil?
Tell him to stop using powergel in his nutrient mix.i love hydro over soil because my buddy blows it up then sells me cheap ounces.
Common misconception. I am actually very, very small. He Pingping is someone I truly look up to. My daughter was really peed off when I nicked Ken's wardrobe and started driving Barbie's pink Corvette to the hydro shop.I feel out of my league posting in a thread with big boys like Al B but here goes.
In theory. In practise, they are a bastard to clean fully free of old root matter. They have to be clean & sterile or root disease can be transferred from crop to crop. They'll also accumulate nute salt crusts and must eventually be discarded after a few uses. I'm told that flushing them with copious volumes of water can remove a lot of nute salts.expanded clay pellets can be used over and over
i don't know what that is.Tell him to stop using powergel in his nutrient mix.
i wanna trade-in my two 600 watters and my pots of soil for one 1000 watter and a 4 X 4 flood and drain. i think i can get the same or better results. my buddy has his sh*t dialed and he would must likely help set me up. i got a pound and a half off two 600's. he's getting 3+ pounds off two 1000's. we're getting close to the same yield but his buds look much nicer than mine.i grew soil for like 7 yrs and recently switched to hydro,,,, its fast growing and a cool new gadget in my growroom, i love cool new gadgets! havn't noticed much els, at first it seamed hard but once you get the hang of things its easy... ive left soil grows for 5 days, was outa town, and they wilt hardcore, i left a hydro grow for 8 days and after a flush and som hygrozyme all was well no problems at all, the soil grow did come back with no problem too but it had to be stressfull for them. oh and i love you fdd keep up the humorous this and that your so much fun every time you post
I think you'll dig it man no fungus nats horaaaaaaaaaaaay, oh yea my first hydrogrow i had one plant in an areo setup veged from seed for 23 days and by the end of flowering it was a mean 5 footer with a 20 inch main cola, word you will be happy i think, just when it's a pain in the ass in the beginning power through and you'l be hooked it gets easyeri wanna trade-in my two 600 watters and my pots of soil for one 1000 watter and a 4 X 4 flood and drain. i think i can get the same or better results. my buddy has his sh*t dialed and he would must likely help set me up. i got a pound and a half off two 600's. he's getting 3+ pounds off two 1000's. we're getting close to the same yield but his buds look much nicer than mine.
you act like you can't get gnats in a hydro op.I think you'll dig it man no fungus nats horaaaaaaaaaaaay,
Tall plants are not the indoor grower's friend. Even the mighty 1000HPS can only penetrate foliage so deeply; they'll make solid nugs about 40" deep from the tops. Buds out of that range will tend towards being popcorn fluff. SoG fixes the problem by deliberately growing short plants.by the end of flowering it was a mean 5 footer
