What kind of chlorine do you add? I got some pool shock (sodium hypochlorite 65%) and tried to measure out and use 2ppm in my system, at first. But I found it made the PH swing up like crazy (5.6 - 8!! in a few hours), so I dumped that and went with the Hydrosparkle. I would like to use chlorine though at a low PPM if I can find one that doesn't affect my PH! It is cheaper for sure, and all tap water has chlorine, plants uptake it, and it doesn't harm them in my experience. I've never had to run a sterile res before, so I am hoping the hydrosparkle will work, but chlorine would be cheaper.

chlorine is just bleach, just stronger than regular bleach is all l..
Used to clean pools as a kid and would charge people $100 to shock their pool :idea:
id put a gallon of bleach in instead... (: at 2 dollars a gallon..
regular shock costs $80

Hello all, and happy growing! Just getting this round going at Day 12 from flip, under 600w of 3590 COBs. 6x 3gal and 2x 2gal. 6 strains/8 phenos, mostly my own crosses other than 1x Jack The Ripper, 1x Blue Pyramid and 1x Plemon. Rest are a couple of Blue Ripper (Blueberry x JTR) phenos, Blue Ripper x Blue Dream, and 2x phenos of Blue Ripper x Harlequin (looking to breed a high THC & CBD pheno).

I use pool shock also at the same concentration. The wild swings is because of the RO water. It has no minerals that help buffer those swings. You didnt mention how many gallons of water your system holds, but I add a gram of shock to 90gal of water/nutes...thats roughly 2ppm.

What you could try is mixing a bit of well water with your RO at about 50 to 1. Then shock it...let it sit for a few hours then mix in your nutes and adjust PH...let it sit again then check PH. If the PH hasnt drifted from were you corrected it too...any swings will be due to too low/high EC.

Interesting. Okay, I calculated .4 gram of shock for 40 gallons so basically identical to what you do. I guess I would need carbonates from the hardwater to stabilize the PH. But after what happened with the well water I really don't want to put that shit back in my system! At 50:1 it might be ok though. Thanks for the advice.

I'm really in search of a high THC high CBD strain. Like 12-15+% THC and around 10% CBD. Is there anything in seed that would get me close to these numbers? I've searched THCBIOMED for clones like this, all they have is around 7% 1:1 and I don't find it helps with the pain relief as much, need more THC.

Don't waste a cent on LP clones...pop some seeds as your trying to do...don't support dirty LP's. you'll find what your after...the guys here will help.

Sprouting seed has a lot of benefits; virus, fungus and bug free. But if I can find what I am after from an LP, I'd try it.

Edit: in clone form only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No poison schwag for me, I had enough.

I'm sorry but supporting an Lp in any way is just wrong on a lot of levels. To me they are THE enemy. I don't deal with the enemy. They only want your money at any expense including our freedom to grow...so fuck them. I'm not against business.....just scum in business and they are scum. They are a threat to me.

Fair enough, and I respect that. I would buy what I need to cure my pain from just about anyone. If an LP has a strain then it's me against the world, fuck the world, I'm in pain.

Same meds can be found elsewhere. Laziness is no excuse to me to support LP's. A little research and work will get you what you want.
People have sacrificed for this culture and I WON'T Abandon that culture.
