***150w HPS Verticle grow*** Staring: ECSDXLR2 - Skidow - BAT

Alright time to stop fucking around, its going down.

The goal of this thread is to unleas the beast within the 150w hps. I want to maximize all potential this small watt hps has, and grow a decent little garden. So im going to be doing a SOG, 12/12ing reall early, no more than 3 weeks in. And verticle growing seems the way to go, i mean it only makes most sence. Your sorounding the bulb with buds, and soaking up every last lumen that bitch has to put out.:fire: I will harness it. The power will be mine it shall.

Anyways enough with the jiber claper, now let me introduce the facts.

LIGHTING:

150w Rabb security light w/ a GE 150w hps bulb ( i wish i could afford the son agro, but theres always next time i guess)

STRAINS:

Obviously ECSDXLR2, SKidow (skunk#1 X Widow x Sweetwidow) and BAT (fucking mystery strain!, i do know its a pure indica hybrid, im warned its very powerful shit by the breeder, but that is all i know. And all i really need to know i guess!)

The breeder is a RIU member, but ill let him introduce himself to his own accord.

Ive got 11 ECSD going right now, as well as 4 BAT, and 3 Skidow. There under my rubber maid cfl box right now, and are at a happy 1 inch.


VENTILATION And REFLECTION:

This is taking blace in a secret compartment like area in my attic, and i need good air flow because it has a tendency to warm up. Latly though from the colder weather it hasnt been to warm at all, actually more like a chill. But i have a simple set up. Theres a section im going to isolate with a white material used for shrink rapping boats. I will stich a circulating fan for the intake to blow right on the plants and bulb, and for the exaust ill have 3 120mm Thermaltake Silent Cat fans, for stealth purpose. It will all make sence once i get some pics up.

FERTILIZER:

Ill probably start out with fish emulsion oil, with off and on MG for vegging. Im not quite sure what im going to do for flowering yet, so if you got a cheap solution, im all ears



And that is about the jist of the important factors.

I will be getting pics up very soon, i still have to take a day or two to set it all up. But i my expectations are high, and i hope this can inspire some to go verticle, cause no doubt, its thY way to go for these low watt hps units.

Im open for any suggestions, i want to get optimal results sooo im the student you are my teacher.

Im just about done, god damn it was tough lining the walls with reflective material, i have a space no more than 3 feet tall, and 3 feet wide, with a 45 degree angle cutting down from 3 feet (roof corner of the attic) Wow what a bitch. but im just about done and hopefully ill get some pics up tonight. The seedlings are starten to grow some mass.

just crossed the ing punch with auto ecsd and UK cheese with auto ecsd.
then the fun comes with gettin them stable autos...
but you can give it a go yourself.
will be pollinating some more in the next coupla days, gonna give the cheese a few hits, cuz that'd be some serious auto genes.

Cool I too have a closet with slanted roof and limited head room, I have about 4' at the highest. So I'm subscribed and ready to see how this works. I am currently on my 2nd cfl grow and thinking about upgrading my lights to hps, was thinking about a 400w but don't think I could keep it cool. So this 150w club is looking about right!

Fosty, well i GUESS i could try a couple more beans, i GUESS i could get some more soil and pots to fit a couple buds in there. I GUESS. HAHAhahaha. i got it all set up, and im going 12/12 starting now. so let the magic begin. Fingers crossed, along with my toes, hairs, and pubes. id love to try out some more. Hey have you tried cloning the auto ECSD? Good luck with making the cheese auto, but as long is the auto is in there, i dont much mind. I mean one cross fits my needs, gives em the low profile and quicker harvest. But if you keep crossen em, i just see it as striping potency away, just my opionion. Though i know theyed have higher value being autos and all so i got ya. But buside my opinion, love to give em a go, ill welcome them to my home with open arms, no doubt!

I was thinking about sticking another one in there as well, i could see it working well, but yeah heat is a bitch, just stick a couple box fans up in that bitch and you could probably fucking do a 400wer. depends on your temps. im pretty far up north, so its getting down to the 50's at night outside, which is a huge benifit for my attic grow.

Yea now with 295w of asorted cfls I'm running 92-94 deg after work 4pm.
Have a decent exaust fan 6" inline but need to get some intake vents cut and light proffed. This will help in the winter time to as when I started in Jan. my temps where down in the 52-60 deg range.

I promise man, i promise. I really dont like being called a scallywag scoundrill, so ill have to do it. Id say temps would be betta for ya with a 250hps unit, they really dont run that much hotter than cfls per watt if at all from my experience.

I have tried to see if you can clone the ECSD any better than other autos, and the simple fact is,they will clone but it is def not worth it.
You will end up with tiny retarded clones, that offer little yield.

When i'm finished doin the biz, the auto cheese x ECSD will be a good mix of the 2 strains, both in height,yield and potency...Keep breeding with the strongest plants with the most desirable characteristics, and eventually you'll end up with a good x, that is also auto stable, and strong as hell.
Unfortunately its gonna STINK!!! so stealth growing it without a sufficient scrubber isnt gonna be a good option..
My house reeks of the the Cheese and my ECSD and it smells fuckin awesome.. :)

Shit i tried, i really did. i now have the pics, i just have to upload them onto my friends computer, because this computer, my main computer, belongs to the public library. and their security is top notch.

Fuck yeah, i really want to try some breeding, but i have to try to find another location for the males, im brainstorming every day, ill figure it out.

There looking healthy as hell guys, for some reason the BATS are the most stretchy!?!?!? wierd. although like i said early frost, i could have them mixed, though im farily sure there right on. thats good to know for the ecsd, but sad.

Hey and one more Q, have you ever cloned the bat and skidow after in flower?

Tonight bitches, prepare your selves.

yeah they both will clone well during flower, just taks a lil longer to root, but a healthy dose of rhizotonic helps em along nicely.
just try to do it as soon as they show sex.
you will def notice the bat genes, they are 100% indica, so look for nice dark wide leaves, might be stretchy under the CFLs but i have never vegged them with CFLs, so i dont know fo sure.

I still have some work ahead of me obviously, im not happy with my set up yet, a we bit hasty for my lickings. Not the coolest set up, but i think it will be productive. Obviously i have to transplant these bitches asap. im hoping to get some soil tonight or tomorrow so i can do such things.


Frosty- Good to hear. Yeah, i did start them under cfls, could be the cause eh? tell me if you can identify any as of yet.

Yeah i was considering it, but thats not really a necessity, all i need comes down to a space of any sort, so idk, but it would help block light.... hmmm... but why did that come to mind?
