Growers House did a comparison of all the bulbs and showed both of Phillips to be quite higher in PAR.

But not higher in UV.

And I believe they showed all the available ballasts ran the bulb to spec. I can't speak for quality here but there is at least a standard spec they set for these bulbs.

I really like mine. I am using it for finishing mostly for the last 2 weeks. It has added frost and potency for certain.

But it is not as powerful as my 600 hps and has a small under 3' square footprint in my experience.

But this observation is for a single 315 in an open vertical reflector.

I will continue to use both hps and cmh together.

interesting. he did use the correct ballast?

i like it because they do frost up nicely and they finish faster under LEC compared to HPS.

i grew w hps and mh for 20 years, i cant complain they did there job.. switched to ceramics after i read a review on par levels w different grow lights in high times back in 2013...my gram per watt increased from 1.2 gpw w hps/mh to 1.4 gpw on my first run w ceramics.. i now am getting 1.56 gpw average on every run..ive also added 100 watt go green citizen led's to my 315 watt ceramics and im getting 1.56 gpw using a total of 2 315 watt cmh and 2 100 watt citizens=830 total watts over a 4f6tx6ft flood table..

Anyone have any experience with Cycloptics Greenbeams? Or Solistek 315 cmh? About to order 315 cmh.. Deciding between hoods/ballasts/who to order from. I like the phillips 315w agro lamp are there any that compare or go with that one?

i like the look of the greenbeam,, but its quite expensive,, $600.00 and you can buy a sunsystem or compareable for like $400-450.00

a 315 watt cmh is comparable to 450-500 watts hps,, that said i ran 3 315's over a 4x6 table using 930 total watts i yielded 1,425 grams dry weight.. i also did many runs using 2 600 watt hps over the same table never hit more than 1.2 gpw..
so 1 315 is not a 600 watt hps but 3 315's are far better than 2 600 watt hps..
my best runs wer using 3 400 watters before i went to cmh i ran 2 400 watt hps and 1 400 watt mh in the middle,, i still never had better than 1.2 gpw but the quality was way better than hps alone.. the cmh's produce quality and quantity and a single bulb that lasts for years is another big plus,, i surely dont miss changing the bulbs in the cool tube reflectors every6-8 months either..
