I'm hopeful. If progressive candidates can do it here, they can win anywhere. I'm also suggesting reasons why voters might want to try something different.

Buck is right in that Manchin has an advantage right now. I suppose it would be too much to expect that Bernie's boyz would respect the will of the voters in W VA to pick their own candidate who supports the issues they want represented. But if what's her name wins the primary, I'll be good with that.

The vote is local because voters in the locale vote for whom they want to represent them. It's their choice. Not saying outside money can't be used in the form of donations to the candidate they want. Too much of that is not good but them's the rules until we change them. Both Democratic candidates, Manchin or what's her face are supportive of repealing the Citizen's United ruling, so there is that. The whinger in the video, at least he got the idea right that the election is in the hands of W VA's voters.

Somehow Bernie's babies seem to think that California has a right to select W VA's next representative. I guess you do to. Neither are correct, in fact.
