Please help a new grower

This was grown in Miracle Grow. You just need to time it right so you can flush them. Of course never hurts to add a bunch of perlite and have plenty of holes in the bottom of your container. Yes you may see some Banana's from the light leeks I had. Other than that I got a little more than an oz with like 2/23 watt and 1/13 watt CFL lights. I know I got rid of the stupid CFL lights because of that issue. Invested in a LED grow light which my ladies love so much more. The problem with those CFL lights is that you have to put them so close to the plant then they get burned. For the last 3 weeks of the grow I had to raise the CFL's a lot to stop this from getting worse. Good catch Bob.

FF works. It won't last 2 months with no nutrient. Edited this in - With FF soils, I would add a good heaping 1/2 cup of Dolomite lime to the bag. They tend to be short lived on that. I would add some more perlite (coarse) to that too. A gallon or more! They also tend to carry Fungus gnat eggs in the soil. Be prepared to deal with that.

Nice base soils are all over. Black Gold, Dr. Earth's potting soil, my fav is Potter's Gold - if you can find it in your part of the country.


Just a friendly suggestion ALong......Inda, Bob and Lou know what their doing in a garden.... You might drop the pissing contest....
