don't worry, guys.

if the perma-frost starts to melt, it won't release shitloads of methane or anything, thereby driving the positive feedback cycle even further or anything.

that's all a chinese hoax propped up by funding from liberal universities to biased scientists participating in a worldwide conspiracy to earn the pittance of research grants.

thanks. I was going to ask @tampee or @choomer or @undercovergrow or @sixstring2112 to comfort me and tell me this global warming due to burning fossil fuels thing is a hoax.

I'm in my early 50s now and I'm reasonably sure that I'll live at least another 30 years, perhaps 40. In that time I fully expect to see at least one of not several nasty 'steps' of global warming that will cause mean sea level to rise by 3-6'. Needless to say, I'm not planning to move to Miami Beach.

I'm honestly hoping it rises even more. Only such a catastrophe will convince humans to quit working against our planet and start working with it.

With the current Education Policies in place we should get able to get rid of the Homosexuals, Free speech and Independent thinking, there by securing Gods/Oil Industry wants and needs.

The future is in floating Farmland seeking favorable growing environment. (Now there's a federal contract with China worth having/striving for).

"Changes to weather patterns that move crop production areas around — we’ll adapt to that."

Long Live President Rex Tillerson!

You're brave. I'm going to eat a bullet after my dog dies, probably somewhere around 15-16 years down the road. I can't take life much longer, especially in Trump's America. And everyone I know over 70 says being over 70 sucks--pain all day long and pain that you can't do anything about and just gets worse. Then there's humans. I'm sick of them!

The new conservative approved elder care program, you're a genius!

The winner in all of this: Russia.

They're sitting on not only 11% of the entire fresh water supply on earth in a single frozen lake, but they're going to inherit more rich farmlands than the U.S., China, and all of Africa have through osmosis.

Russia will be living large long after pretty much everybody else has thirsted and/or starved to death.

Sadly (for me;)), I wont be around to read the PLA's plan for 3049.
The only long term plan I can find for the US is retreat, and not for many.

This is exactly why I voted for Trump.

It's also why I feel we need a Nuclear war.

Glad you've finally seen the light. 8-)

Space is the answer.
Perhaps we should put our shoulder to the grindstone?

The 100 Year Starship (100YSS) is a joint U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) grant project to a private entity. The goal of the study is not to have the government fund the actual building of spacecraft, but rather to create a business plan that can last 100 years in order to help foster the research needed for interstellar travel.[1][2][3]

Should we hope Exxon can make a profit from going to Mars?
