I would get the 3500K for both uses if I could only have one light. That being said if there was only 3K available I would have no issue using it. I am running one in my flower tent right now and not getting as much stretch as I expected and good inter nodal spacing. I just ordered a 260w kit in 4K to test in veg
3500K is great all around spectrum. 3000K is slightly- slightly!- better for bloom.
shit really, i put a 3500k order in. was maybe thinking of adding some red & thought that way the 3500 would be better cuse it was more blue.
You will be fine. I am not saying the following in a derogatory or arrogant way I feel this statement applies to me too I'm learning everyday. Not everyone would see the difference between the 3K and the 3500K. You have to have your grow on point and from the grows i have seen the difference is minimal at the end. There are so many other things that would have larger impact in the grow like foliar feeds etc.......
okay yeah, thanks im no expert by any means but still skeptical cuse i think my hps are 2700k work great & im thinking of outfitting a room for flower only so if the 3000k are only a % more efficient, that turns out to be a #. im putting my first qb package agaist a 600 DE gavita to make a decision on what to use in those rooms & if i choose QB's and have 4 3500k and the rest 3000k my ocd will hit the wall.
Always better to try and have a mix up of spectrums if you've got multiple light sources in my humble opinion.

4 Qb's maybe to 2 HLG 240's or 320's. my electronic knowledge is terrible i thought it wasn't bad but it is, lots to learn so not 100 % sure yet. i was planning on running the boards at 100W each if that doesn't beat a 600w gavita i will up the current till it hopefully does.

i dont understand that concept eg: the sun gives the same spectrum like high noon its higher kalvin at sundown its lower but always even isnt it? iuno im not that smart. if i have a bunch of diffrent kalvan boards a corner is at 4000 and the plants under the next board are 3000k i dont see the photons mixing evenly, but i dont have a par meter or anything like that to test it just doesnt make sense to me. i watched alot of grow mau5 videos thats why i chose the 3500k lol. but if people are getting better results off 3000k im kinda leaning towards that cuse i only used 2700K for flower in my life thus far and has worked pretty good.
I'm not a scientist I was only giving you my opinion based on experience, light is a plants real 'food' so I can only compare it to eating a balanced diet as a person.
