the electoral college would not exist if the slaveowners who created it did not agree that black people only counted as 3/5th of a white and had to vote however their white slaver decided to.

I'm not talking about traffic stops, those are usually fine. I'm talking about skating empty parking lots, playing wall ball, or just walking around in a group at night. Sometimes we were doing shit we weren't supposed to, but most of the time it's just cops verbally and physically accosting us as their initial interaction.

And God forbid you were at a party that was being broken up. Cops around here use the "swing first, ask questions second" method. This was before everyone had a camera phone though.

I learned real quick to shut the fuck up, and say nothing.

If the Democrats want to make an efficacy or merit-based argument with respect to the Electoral College, then by all means make it. It ought to be based in history and fact not fanciful revisionist history, and it should be made not just during an election year because of discontent with the electoral outcome.
