Hey guys might be jumping the gun a little but wanted to get some opinions about this anyway

Just put 3 little beans in some jiffy pellets now and im wondering if i could put them straight under a air cooled 400mh to keep them warm over night and just keep on checking them to see when they sprout or if i should just wait it out and be patient haha and wait from them to sprout and then put them in?

Just keep them warm and damp out of strong light.

Yeah i thought that may happen, if the temps drop below 20deg Celsius at night, Could it possibly cause any harm or slow germination down or even "lesser" the chance of successful germination?

I've germinated seeds forever in a dark cupboard. Once they sprout up, you'll wanna transplant those jiffy pellets into solo cups and put under some T5s for a few weeks.

Yeah ive got them in a container with the lid off on the window sill at the moment. I was hoping id be able to get away with putting them under the 400mh straight away, as most of my budget has been tied up in everything eles haha. Can this be down by just having the light, say 15-20inches away from them under 20/4. Read somewhere that its a good schedule for fast growth in veg and possibilities of a higher yield. I dont know maybe ive over read it all abit ahaha seem to find something new everyday

You can put them under the MH once they sprout, but make sure you transplant them into solo cups first so they don't dry out too fast.

I placed my beans directly into a 5-gallon cloth pot. I placed a humidity Dome (half a soda bottle) over the spot where the seed was. I put my thousand watt MH at 50% and 36". Like everyone else has been saying, make sure they stay moist.
Yeah awesome i didnt think of a make shift dome like that, ill go fix that up now. Would a freezer bag over the container i have them in be fine ?

I use clear disposable cups with holes poked in the top. They fit nicely on my solos. You can use a small piece of tape as a hinge between the top and bottom to keep it in place

Or should i use something clear and hard like a bottle that i can put a couple holes in for air flow?
As long as you have a little air flow you're fine. Just the uneven cutting of my bottles left enough room for air to get in. When I first started I was using plastic wrap.
