Hey guys question I believe I'm having a sulphur deficiency. I've added half a teaspoonof Epsom salt, to two small bottles of spray each for a foiler spray. My question is should I add some Epsom salts to the soil as a top layer. I have an organic grow 7 g smart pots I make my own soil. 1k hps bla bla bla,

I also use RO water and cal mag.

What makes you think they are deficient on sulfur?

I am on my first grow, but I think your plants look very good and definitely not short on sulfur but I might be totally wrong

If u look closely the new growth is yellow and working from the center out. But thanks on ur compliment I do work hard on these girls

The leaves aren't supposed to be dark green but not supposed to be yellowing either

have you checked the PH of the soil?

it looks like the ph is low...below PH 6.0

that's not a sulfur def.. sulfur def is rare

its a micro nute def from ph being out or its light bleaching if your lights are too close and depending on the bulb type

adding the Epsom will probably make them happy cuz low ph also makes Mg less available and the amount you added is safe but you don't need to add more yet

first thing to do is check the PH and then go from there

I keep flipping between the second and third picture, the second picture they look to yellow, in the third picture they look healthy. Were they taken the same day? Do you see the difference in the two pics?

ya the third pic doesn't show the yellowing, I assumed it was angle or lighting, or maybe distance idk

Sulphur def appears at the top, so you're right there, however, those leaves look more pale green in the photos than yellow. Sulphur def shows as bright yellow tops. I wouldn't do anything special right now, because if you do you're liable to make other things worse. I would stick with your methods, but be careful not to over fert. consider transplanting into pretty large containers as this might be a good time to do so before they get wrapped in the screen. Containers that are large enough to carry them to the end. nice screen, by the way.

The 3 and third pic is about 4 days apart I've been trying to treat it by using cal mag also I don't have a pH pen but the test strip show my pH at almost perfect 6

And unfortunately there in there last containers 5g and 7g can't go any bigger bc I will run out of room in my tent

that's one reason why you don't want to use a tent.

ph 6 is a little low and I would say itll correct itself but it could just as easily be ph 6.3 which would be just fine

on the other hand it could be 5.8 and then id say add some lime maybe 2 oz dolomite fine powder which would also give you calcium and magnesium in about 3 weeks

now having said all that... the third picture looks better than the first too so whatever you did must have helped cuz the thrird picture looks good

I was looking and looking very closely at the pics, making sure before I post.

And I am positive this is no sulfur deficiency, in fact, you have absolutely nothing wrong here, nothing at all.

These plants are super healthy. You will fuck them up with too much love and worry.

Continue what you were doing. don't add shit as a deficiency cure becasue you absolutely have no deficiency.

the very first pic hes got some yellowing and a little taco twist (Mg def) in the small new growth... I think the Epsom salt did the trick if theres a few days between the first and third pic

If those are the strips used for pools they only read 6 as a low, so a ph of 5 would appear as 6 on those. You can get inexpensive drops at the hydro store that range from 4 to 8 PH.
