pretty much... i like cutting it up too lol. i just hang out in my garage with a joint in my mouth and a sawzall in my hand and go at it for hours. i was just on a job the other week. this house had really old copper gutters, they were awesome. next day i go back they were all in the dumpster. almost 100 pounds of copper in the dumpster. that was a real good find. extra couple hundred bucks for no work at all

5.20 USD is unbelievably high for #1 (7-2017) , #1 copper is going for around 1.90-2.10 hear in NY, and our prices tend to be higher in the tri-state area over nation wide.

Their is a small form/blog "the scrap app" that attempts to keep track of the prices, They dont do the best job but its somwear to get a general idea of the sellers market.

Some of the buyers hear let you negotiate for a higher price if you have a substantial amount

Some of the yards hear also grade the materials differently which can make a huge difference in price, It always pays to separate as much as possible

Were they oxidized green or still copper looking? I see those online and
always wondered how they weather over the years?

I have a couple tons of steel, maybe a half ton of aluminum, some copper, some misc metals- tungsten, bronze, chunk of titanium somewhere I can't find it..lol. All from scrapping cars and getting drops from working in machine shops. It's really not to hard to acquire weight in scrap.

Who tears off copper gutters? Thers a big old Victorian i pass frequently that had slate roof and copper gutters. Someone bought it a few years ago and had 3 tab shingles and alum gutters put on. :spew:Fuck, couldn't have even put architectural singles? :dunce:
