Please help! Harvest time? (Pics)

I've been watching two of my more ripe plants very closely and have been itching to chop! I'm now finding a couple amber trics, well under 10%. I prefer a more uplifting buzz but they say full potency isn't reached until the tric is cloudy. I'm seeing 90% plus that are cloudy, with a good chunk of the 10% being clear but still found a few that have turned amber.

So if I chop them now will it have a considerably weaker high still having some clears or would it be up to par since I'm also seeing a couple ambers? Like I said I do prefer a more uplifting buzz

Help is much appreciated guys!

I found only two with nanners. One has two clusters that I could find and the other has one. So do i kill them, cut the buds with the nanners off or leave them??

My plants have anywhere from 1 to maybe 3 weeks left I'm guessing, EXCEPT for one sativa dominant that is BY FAR my biggest flowered plant but has BARELY began to dense up, has a long time left. If it comes down to it I'll put the other 19 before that one sativa.

Sounds like you're close to harvest i would pick the nanners off carefully with tweezers and keep it movin till harvest.

Today is day 58(ish) I actually flipped them about two weeks before that to sex them, after 10 days from flip I went back to 18-6 and most continued to stack pistols for the next four days while the others just began to show hairs so I didn't want to screw them all up by forcing them to go back to veg so I flipped back to 12s which is when I began to count my flower period.

So for some may be 10 1/2 weeks from first sign and others more around 8 from first sign.

And I have learned since then to not do that again. I should have let them show naturally

yeh most strains will show preflowers in veg about 30+ days in..you need magnification to see them (jewelers loupe).

I learn something new every grow.

Anymore opinions on if I am ok to take the two more ripe ones down?? I just don't want it to come out like mids if I chop them now. But I did find some amber trics so shouldn't it be okay to harvest??

if you're at over 90% cloudy with some ambers on those two i say take em. it's a personal preference but that's when I like to take mine...i like to keep ambers to a minimum

i would not chop unless you're out and need to harvest the girls. if you would like to take a sample just to get you through and/or to see what the smoke will be like you could do so now but they put on a lot of weight those last two or three weeks. with the amount of white hairs that are still prevalent, i would suggest you continue to wait.

Yeah like I said I prefer the head high so that's why I'm thinking it might not be a problem considering I did find a couple ambers. I know they will probably thicken up more but I'm not too worried about that. They're already tennis ball sized and pretty dense. But this is my first indoor grow so I have no experience so I don't want to take them now if they'd turn out to be like some midgrade

Okay so if I continue to wait, do the amber trics pack on pretty quick after the first few or is a usually a couple week process?

they might look pretty dense now but when you dry out the flowers they lose a lot of weight. harvesting a plant at week five or six would not give you an accurate representation of the smoke's potential but usually week seven or eight, even if you sacrifice weight by harvesting early (on a strain that would be ready at week nine or ten), you can still get good smoke, just not a lot of it. that's why it is always better to wait. because again, those last few weeks really do a lot for the harvest weight.

while i understand a lot of growers harvest by the trichs, i do not - i look at the overall look of the flowers and that the calyxes have receded fully and she's pretty much stopped producing white hairs...of course, i grow a strain that i'm very familiar with. there are some good "is she ready" threads in the harvest and cure section, you should check it out.

I appreciate the help. As of right now they are back under the lights
