Hello fellow growers

I have read and studied the problems but with no avail. Have tried 5 different strains, autos and fems. The problems always start on week 4-5, were even after feeding leaves start going yellow and dry spots.

Small indoor grow tent

Lights 3 vero 29 150watts (50W each)

Soil 1/3 perlite, coco coir and bio bizz light mix

Temp 25-30c

RH 60-80%

Fertilizer Bio bizz line ½ strength (about 1-2ml of grow, heaven and acti vera)

PH 6 goes in 6.5-7 soil runoff

PPM 900-1000

5 week old

Strain Kaya Gold Nirvana (Specially suitable for high temps)

Thought it might be calmag, so I bought some.

All seems like PH problems but my PH meter is calibrated. I use vinegar to drop the tap water PH and not PH down product.

I have ran out of ideas.

Thank you

How often are you watering? Does your soil/nutrients come with a solid supply of nitrogen? Is there ventilation setup for the tent to get good airflow? It looks underneath your pot is wet.

How accurate is your pH measurement? Do you calibrate your meter regularly with both 4 and 7 solutions? If not, your meter could be off. Just a thought.

What kind of water are you using? If RO then you should definitely be using ca/mg. If you have good tap water then you might only need a little or none at all depending on your water's hardness.

But for some reason the nutes are being locked out or are otherwise not available. It also could be that 1/2 isn't enough. I've been running Canna Coco A + B and I just mix to their simple directions and they are growing like crazy.

Im not an expert but this guy knows what hes talking about. Also cal/mag is always good to add.

The thing that seems consistent to me after reading these threads, is that these nutrient deficiencies are usually a result of something with the soil, not actually the lacking of the nutrient in the soil.

Have you been feeding with every watering or do you alternate between feeds and just plain water? Have you checked the ppm of the runoff to see if it's not salt buildup?

That ppm sounds high for how hungry those plants look imo.

The yellowing is a nitrogen deficiency, also seeing problems that look like they revolve around P and Na.
Next time buffer your coco with calmag first, to drive off the excess of the above elements.
Use 50g per 20 litres. So, at that ratio, if you need 25L then you would use 60g and so on.
Coco has to soak in that for at least 15 minutes, I let mine stand for 12 hours.

Remember to adjust pH before adding the coco. Vinegar is not a good solution. Get a small pot of pH down, you can check your local pet shop in the aquarium dept.

Yes i use the solutions to calibrate the meter.

I think the water is RO counts about 260ppm

i've boosted the food too 3ml per 1 lt and cut out the vinegar.

i'll check out the canna .Thanks

The soil is the bio bizz light with branded coco and a no name perlite.thanks

I alternate feedings, yes the ppm is around 900ppm at runoff. i agree quite high.Maybe my meter is busted. Thanks

People use vinegar to kill weeds.

Your poisoning them.
Yeah, i was thinking of it

i water every 2-3 days, 20lt airpot. I think so i use bio bizz grow. yes i have the ventilation on with the carbon filter off.The pot is sitting on four stones it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks

I would stop mixing coco and soil for starters. Both have different PH ranges.
Stop using vinegar its not stable.
This is not needed, but once you mix you need to treat it as soil, not hydro. I start my outdoor plants indoors in coco and take it up to about a 2 gal bag of coco before planting out into soil in pots or directly in the ground.
