is this nute burn or def?

hey guys i have two plants and both of them are showing leaf tips burnt like this and it happened on some of the lower leaves yet not on every finger of the leaves what could it be?

Burn! Half strength your nutes or even better go organic and build a quality soil where the plant and microbiology in your soil decides when the plant eats.

but it is not still too late right?
its just on the random tips of some of the lower leaves and not the new growths

No its never too late as long as the root system is alive, and you got leaves.

Maybe water with plain water every other time. And apply your nutes at half strength when you use them.

Plants don't need as much as you want to give them trust me lol.

ive topped them today tho i know its a pretty noob move
id say each one has lost up to four lower leaves i guess that kinda yellowing and dropping should be normal and didnt mean i shouldve added more nutes right?

First, topping is not really a 'noob' move. Many many growers do it.
what kind of soil is that? You shouldn't have to feed until a few weeks in. Plants still pretty dark green.

i thought ive topped them early
ive mixed the soil myself its 20%homemade compost 20% perlite and vermiculite and 20%coco peat the rest was garden soil

Topping ain't no noob move friend! In all honesty more complex techniques like scrogging and mainlining are bigger noob moves. Anyone that actually monitors efficiency, or works on a large scale will tell you, topping is the way to go. That or straight sea of green, but if you're trying to maintain low plant numbers for legal reasons, sog isn't the best way to go lol.

And no i don't think you should add more nutes. I would contribute your lower leaves yellowing to underwatering more than overnuting. Or lack of light penetration(but prolly not that). Lower leaves die sometimes tho, especially as plants grow taller. As long as overall and at the tops and middle are healthy, you are solid.
