Need help/advice for my clone please!

Last week I bought a clone from a dispensary in L.A. strain is diamondOG. Got it in a Rockwool cube, I transplanted it to a 1gal soil pot without removing it from rockwool cube.. Also am using cheap ass Kellogg potting soil.. And I got it under 2 23watt cfl lights 24hours... One is 6500k and the other is 2700k, 1600 lumens each. I also take it outside under the sun for 3-6 hours everyday.. What I wanna know is why the new growth is coming out yellow with brown spots???.. What am I doing wrong?. . Maybe its the soil it's in? Maybe I should water with nutrients??.. IDK if I should just keep waiting and hope for the best.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

you need to scrap it and start over.

If you aren't watering with nutes yet, yep, it's most likely the soil you are using.

your cheap ass soil made cheap ass weed, go figure. clone money down the drain.
when its important enough to you, be sure to choose quality items next time, including better lights,
more air flow, quality nutrients, a grow bible for instructions too. all of this is covered in the first chapters of any grow bible.

I knew i should have gotten better soil!!.. Thank you guys I really appreciate the feedback and everything everyone of you said I believe. I know truth hurts but I'm glad I heard it here... just for the fuck of it ima keep this one going to see if maybe i can transplant it onto better soil if it gets better but other then that Im gonna start over with new clones from the shop.. I'll probably end up gettin some of that Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and some t5 lights to start over. Again guys thank you very much and I will post the next grow soon.

I think the rock wool might be part of the problem. They can hold too much moisture. I try to avoid them entirely, but when I am forced to deal with them I water the edges of the pot, so that the rock wool doesn't soak up the water. That forces the roots to seek out moisture from the soil and keeps the roots from rotting from excess moisture.

I'd begin with pro mix, then check out the botanicare/organicare line, its a no brainer and it doesnt get better for you.

That Kellogg soil can be pretty hot. I don't know what variety you got but their organic blend has quite a bit of poultry manure in it. There was another post with an over fertilization issue and that soil. Don't skimp on the soil. That's like the foundation.

Damn bro you are absolutely right about that, I wish they kept the clones in a cloner instead of rockwool at all the med shops and just have em ready for patients in soil instead... Yessir I realized how bad it was after I brought the bag home and opened it up and it literally looks like nothing but wood pieces. Doesn't even look like dirt!!! I had bought it at home depot for $10 for 3cubic feet of it, it was called Kellogg organic potting soil mix, and it came in a big pink striped bag.. I had much much better results with Scott's Super Soil but unfortunately they stopped selling it there

It's not that bad of soil if you're using it to grow flowers in containers on your patio. But it's not a winner when growing marijuana.

On the bag it says ideal for flowers, vegetables, & HERBS. Only reason I bought it... With all the legalization going on now they should really put out a soil product for cannabis I guarantee the person that does that will get rich.

I just raised the lights. I had assumed since it gets a few hours of direct sunlight it can handle 2 cfl's up close since they're the weakest lights to grow & They r only 23 watts each

Here is an update of the DiamondOG..


I trimmed off all the dead leaves & also its looking like a natural FIM three nodes popping up. So far looking better than before. And I also took cindysid's advice on how the rockwool stays moist and haven't watered it yet. All new growth comin out nice n green! Much props to U cindysid & everybody posting on this

Here’s some pics of tha clone i said i was still gonna keep i took it out of that nasty Kellogg soil and rinsed the roots with warm water and transplanted it to hydro bucket. I know I’m a fool for doing this but this is knowledge to me. It’s a good way to learn... also if anybody interested I am growing a seed that I found in some bomb OG Kush from a medical shop in L.A come checkout this grow peace & happy growing!

Kellogg soil is complete garbage but the plus side is they do offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee...all you have to do is email them a copy of your receipt for refund.
Dont know how they stay in business, the soil is so terrible it will not grow the easiest of plant species.

Exactly ive never had a plant/clone ever mess up on me. But i shouldve known better at $10 for 3cubic feet

I've wasted money on it before buying it to use for garden veggies and simple herbs and it literally will not support life. Even weeds will hardly grow in it. I get better growth in plain promix that is inert and devoid of any nutrients.
