Hempy Buckets.

I'm thinking of Hempy buckets for my next grow. Ive played with the common hempy mix (vermiculite and perlite) before in a drain to waste but the buckets seem to have a small reservoir at the bottom like a SIP, but I belive they are top watered. Anyways Q is what Nutrients are the go. Drain to waste or?

I had really good yields running 80% coco 20% perlite and straight perlite in the res.
12 gallons plastic pots with no drain holes and 25 ml clear pipe for draining and feeding pulled 3 1/2 from 12 plants double stacked 600w vert bulbs x2 set up in a figure 8

just fuckin with ya. I'm running them straight perlite, a couple mini ones are coco on top with a perlite res and a couple others are straight perlite with a soil cap (these are going outdoor and I wanted to retain a bit of moisture - probably should have gone 50/50 perlite/vermiculite or coco for this but I'll see how it goes as theres no shortage of seeds to pop).

Also, I'm bottom feeding mine by way of some PVC pipe down the side of the pot so the medium doesnt get build up. Im using the GH maxi stuff and it seems OK so far, Id avoid anything too organic so it doesnt get all filthy in the rez. pH between 5.7 and 6.3 - i vary it a bit every so often by a point here or there to help with uptake. dont know if this works but it hasnt hurt so far

Take this with a grain of salt - I'm no expert on growing hempy style but wanted to dip my toe in the hydro world and this seemed the easiest and cheapest way

my rice huls arived i think its 25 liters im thinking i got 50 liters of soil im gunna ad some dlood and bone and some compost some dolomight lime and let it cook for couple weeks

12 gallons is pretty big. I'm only in a 4 x 4. But that's some nice numbers.
Ive never tried Vert, never even heard of it until I signed on here.

piece of chit they were, cannot believe how much they are worth today. I welded a BBQ plate under the drivers floor on mine..lol

Been picking up more supplies scored the potting mix for $3 a bag and they chucked in the bag of Rapid Raiser from @ruby fruit ‘s favourite company,then grabbed a heap of horse shit from the side of the road for $10 should have been a Stewie diver but I only had a Pavarotti so the kids scored a couple of extra dollars. Then got a shit load of stuff from the super market produce section that was getting for the compost pile

Garden seems to be doing well think i managed to stop them flowering by putting them under fluros for a couple hours at night. Dont see anymore preflowers appearing

No but my mate had a HR wagon with no synchro and he had a few problems like that lol

sweet im gunn mix my soil to 2moz gunna use some rock dust blood andbone and some dolomight lime
