Nanolux 630 CMH. Dual 315s

So after having a couple successful harvests under 400w hps + 200W ACTUAL draw led. Decided its time to up my A game. Invested in this badboy. It's the nanolux 630 cmh that runs a dual 315 bulbs. I got a fantastic deal at a local grow shop. $500 for the cmh ballast and hood + 2 phillips bulbs. One veg bulb and one flowering bulb. Considered running both during veg. Then for flower , I plan to remove the phillips veg bulb. Use just the single 315 as my top light . And using my 400w hps vertically. Anyone have any experience with this product ??

315w ceramics are crap.
The spread is nice and even but the photon intensity across the board is shit.

Have you PERSONALLY ever completed a grow with cmh? I don't know too many people say that they saw decrease in quality when switching to cmh. In fact, I haven't read anything regarding disappointment . plenty of you tube videos of side by side comparison of grows done in the same room where one side is grown by 3 315cmh and the other side a 1000w hps on a mover . CMH put down a higher thc analysis along with providing shorter node spacing. It had a much higher GPW ratio as well. These are these kinds of things that at least prove to me there capabilities

The photon intensity is quite a bit more when running the 630cmh. There comparing a 1000w hps to a 315w cmh....i would hope that a light that pulls nearly 700w more than the other would produce better penetration lol

I've used CFL, MH, HPS, CMH, and Cob Led either in a closet or tent.
200w Cree cob led = ~ 315 cmh
315 cmh = ~ 400w HPS or more.
Used 2 HPS in a 4 x 4 tent, then replaced one Hps with CMH and it got better, then replace both hps with CMHs and it got even better.
Now I replaced 1 CMH with 400w Cree Cob, and so far things looking good.
CMH 4100k excels in veg, and does pretty well in flower.

When it comes to greenhouses it's a different story.

I've been contemplating running the single phillips flowering bulb in my cmh unit and running the 400w hps bulb. But looking at the spectrum of the bulbs shows tons of red spectrum still. Eh. I could always throw my viparspectra led in there and just run the bloom switch for extra red and just stick to the 630cmh. I will say this. It's absolutely incredible how cool these cmh units run even with open hood design. Temps in the tent are the same as when I had the 400w hps going. I have the hood about 20 - 24 inches from the top of canopy. When I used to run 2 400 hps in 4x4 tent, harvest would last me 2.5-3 months at best, and some times I would run out of bud before next harvest.
Ever since I switched to CMHs, my harvest would last me at least 4 months which gave a chance for the first time to cure my buds properly ;)
400w Hps is history to me now :)

You must be drinking the "finshaggy kool-aid" again. This is 1/2 of 4x315 cmh in my flower room. But it' garbage and not worth it.

There is no phillips “veg” bulb. They only have 1 horticulture specific bulb, the 3100°. When its time to change the bulbs, go with 2 of those. There isnt a better cmh bulb. All of the off brands come up short in something. Personally, i would ditch the hps all together, unless you just need more light and thats all you got. The only thing the hps will do that the cmh wont iswaste more wattage on heat.

The 3100° 930 elite agro was developed specifically for agriculture. The 4200° is repurposed industrial lighting.
