As I understand it, if you do low ppm flushing (a little bit of nutes) you can keep the bud growing a bit longer but the thing is you have nutes still in the plant.. so in that case from what I gather is that you now need to cure the bud even longer to get some or all the harshness out of the bud.
With a flush even lower in PPM or near 0 like straight tap it tastes better sooner with less of a cure .. shorter duration to cure and taste better.
I have done low PPM nutes to end 200ppm to even 400ppm and the bud was a bit harsh and took a long time to smoke nicely.
Am just saying this out of actual experience ... this is why I don't understand why people keep using nutrients. That's all ...
If I didn't flush my med people would be pissed at me ! Lol
I'd be willing to bet if you just tapered your feed the last 3-7 days and did a proper dry/cure your med people would thank you.
Can you taste nutrients in your lettuce or tomato? I dont believe farms flush, and they certainly cant "fix" it with a dry or a cure.
Id' like to suggest you try the Lucas Formula (even if loosely). Theres a lot of variations on it, but they are all relatively the same.
I cant stress enough that proper drying and curing are paramount for bringing the best out in your harvested weed, how it burns, and the ash it will produce.
