CLONING A CLONE!!!

Hey guys I was wondering what happened if I cloned a plant then cloned the clone. And kept that cycle going for ever. How would that work out will it turn hermi after so many times? Is it best to start a mother from seed and take clones from it for 6 months to a year then flower it and start over. Or could I just keep cloning and turn a new clone into a mother, that way I'd never have to start from seed or lose the exact genetics and pheno type that I have.

If you can keep the plants from being stressed and always take your clones from the strongest individuals then you can keep it going for years. Some plants will eventually weaken but some can go just about forever if really pampered.
I understand that but my question is can I keep cloning my clones and making new mothers like 5th 6th gen. And when that mother is getting old clone it and make it another mother for another year.

Basically let each mother live for a year clone it and flower the mother and make the new clone a mother and after another year so on and so on....

It's all good, stop over thinking shit.
Not to anyone in particular..but this all day. The forums are loaded with overthinkers when it comes to growing cannabis. And these same overthinkers are almost always over tinkerers and are always fucking with thier plants in some fashion. Usually in the form of a bottle from a hydroponic store shelf. Or the growers that wonder why they cant get a cut to strike roots when they are always popping off the dome and checking each little cube..tugging on the stem..constantly spraying them down. Or the freak out growers that see the slightest hint of a non normal looking leaf and have a total melt down and do all kinds of crazy shit to the medium. Chasing tail with pH and EC runoff and what not. Or the coco wannabes that check ppms of a fresh bag of decent coco and shun it off without even trying it because of what a meter told them. Alot of over thinkers..over tinkerers..and always fucking with equipment and numbers and dials and horseshit. One of the best growers ive ever knew was my grandma. Yes she grew the mighty cannabis as well amongst other plants. Indoors and out. Before she passed she loved cannabis growing so much I gave her an old 1000 watt halide. Before that she grew under t5's and let me tell you..wow could she grow. Mainly outside but during winter she rocked that old halide. She kept things SUPER SIMPLE. Used regular garden compost and potting soil. Used old Peters fertilizer sparingly..and I swear she just had a knack for it. A true greenthumb. She wasnt obsessed over it. And in truth didnt pay a whole hell of alot of attention to the whole hobby. Her buds were fan fukin tastic. She just had the innate ability to dry and cure marijuna to perfection as well. And she never read a book much less read anything on the internet. She loved her sativas too. Haze was her favorite. Them hard to grow sativas were her specialty. Like it was nothing. She made seed. Cross bred. The whole nine. And she was so good at cloning she could damn near root a popsicle stick. In flats of peat. Sometimes with a rooting powder..most times not. And i dont know what it was with ole granny...but man she could grow some fukin fire cannabis.

I'm on my 3rd year of growing,I still have 2 of the strains I started with.I take a clone when the previous clone is ready to flower. When the new clone has root I put the donor into flower. There is no mother, this is how to become perpetual.
This is how i also do my clones, no mothers. I have 2 strains i have had for 3+ years with great success. But like others have said it seems to me if it gets stressed then cloned the rest seem to stress under the same conditions faster.

I made it even simpler by going to hempy buckets. You wouldn't believe the difference in the growth in veg,I cut 25% off my veg time.I run Dr Earth organic nutes at 1tsp per gallon, water every 3 days. Also full led ,that's what I started with.

Yes you can it's not a problem.

Also you'll get used to the unrelated comments. half of the people posting are high and most of them are too high.

Well put Joe!

This is a presently flowering Blue Berry. It has been cloned from clones for over 31 years. An original release Shorts. Still a very vigorous grower...

Hope to keep same mothers for at least a year I may change it up. Also I'm flowing under 1000whps in a 5x5 tent with carbon scrubber and a/c bringing in fresh air.
I feed and water with acct and sst. I never check any pH or anything! I also use a living cover crop miz of clover buckwheat and barley straw!

FYI I found a very easy way to raise rh. In veg room I hung a towel up and sprayed it with a water bottle took my rh from 34% up to 54% just by simply spraying the Towel and letting it hang dry there!15117375202231455423824.jpg
