But today, people are trying to tell me apples are bananas.
My point was that I simply don't believe any politician is working solely in my behalf - all those fuckers are rich when they leave office.
How the fuck does that happen with out corruption & graft?

My dad signed up right after Christmas, 1941.
He carried this Ronson lighter with him through the South Pacific.
He got malaria with 2 other guys in his outfit. While they were hospitalized, the entire rest of his outfit were killed in the Philippines by a Japanese ambush. If not for a mosquito, I would not be here.

That doesn't make them any more equipped to understand or fight for the interests of the majority of their constituents.

In government, industry, non-profits, everywhere.
Without it, we have a giant kleptocracy- not a bad description of the situation we see today.
