think of it this way. after the first 2 pounds, the light is paid for and the rest is free money. 100000hour lifespan. no worries.Hay a mates just purchased the phytomax-2 1000w any thoughts on these or any one running them said he payed just under $4000 seems a lot must b the real deal

Yeah wanted to try the LEDs this time round think the guy at the grow shop was rubbing his hands togethernot really the best way to look at a light
he could have yielded about the same with a DE HPS at 1/10th of the cost
some people buy a porsche when a zr1 will blow the doors off it.not really the best way to look at a light
he could have yielded about the same with a DE HPS at 1/10th of the cost and got the same 1.53 umol/J to his plants

Yeah think soeven better.
is this the one that has IR and UV? they are not too far from me in Boulder. i've thought about stopping in and checking out the ops.
Will do man this light is just for flowering still got MH in veg tent put a few in there a couple of weeks ago I’ll get some pixWell, we all have to thank your mate. Because if it wasn't for guys like him, who else would pay for LED development?
For US$3000 retail in the States, I can easily see how he paid A$4000 over here.
I'm sure it can grow buds, but I like how they try to justify the price by quoting "return on investment" (ROI) when, as CobKits rightly pointed out, you could buy a shed-load of HPS or LED strip/panel/COB lights for that sort of money and increase your yields 8-fold. Plus, it will likely be obsolete in a couple of years or less.
I guess for that sort of money I would want a dedicated flowering spectrum, as most serious growers tend to have dedicated flowering/veg chambers with different lights to suit. It seems like a lot money for a hobby grower who vegs and flowers under the same light . . .
Other than that, I'm sure we'd all be interested to see how it grows if he (or you) want to post up some results here.
You and me both then. Guess its the flashy presentation and claims that get noobs suckered in.Well I'll admit when I first started researching led lights too buy it was between BlackDog and KindLed. Then I found Growmau5 on youtube. His videos sent me in a different direction.
Cheers
