I am using a prototype of my far red board using an lpc-60-1050 driver to control and a sonoff basic with the daily schedule.Thought I got geeked out, y'all on whole nuther level.
I like my arduino, I use it to switch gradually from veg to flower, like sunrise sunset it's not too common but I don't think that is a reason to shy away from it cause this endevour is riddled with bro science....
Keep on keepin on, I'm still looking to incorporate some form of sunrise sunset or initiator lights.
If you set the device state to "keep" in the settings it will do what you want. I think the default setting is off. They restore for sure. My question is, when there is a timer for ON at 6:00, but I have a energy blackout from 5:00 - 7:00, will the lights go ON at 7:00? With my normal timers, also the digital ones, I define a time frame, where the light is working. But with the Sonoff‘s I can only define a time stamp to switch the lights on. Right? Fall asleep last night, but I guess I will be able to try and find out today!

i was replying to the question to when power is restored. But yes...i believe this to be true. I have mine set to 'off'so if you have a blackout in the lights off phase your lights will turn on with this setting...
I've voted SAWN OFF as I got a Ardino,Itz been a while since i posted a new thread in here....i feel excited like that 16 year old school girl i once was...
So thought maybe i would put up a thread on the Sonoff wireless modules i have incorporated into my fixtures and my thoughts so far. (me and @bizfactory have been testing them for the last month or so...but im sure others have already done this)
Sonoff were a Russian company but have been brought by 'Itead' out of China i believe.
Basically they are a simple and cheap replacement for your timers that are controlled from wifi from your phone or tablet. A simple way to snazzy up your LED lights who if you are like me are daunted by Aduino and the like.
After i had wired them in and set them up with the timer.....i turned off my wifi (and data) to see if the timers would work independent (internal) of signal ...clicked on my LEDs without an issue. The modules have manual switches on their shell so that you can overide the switch or if your wifi isnt working or you cant get signal in your grow space. Each module can handle 10 amps although i havent tested the capacity. They have a handy little green night light that emits from them...almost like they had growers in mind
The App that is recommended by 'Itead' is 'eWeLink'....simple search and download....and pair it up. Done! You can get 150 devices on this one app apparently....
I also have a temp/humidity controller/module Sonoff so i can see remotely at any time those figures and control a fan and/or humidifier to get to a desired level (in app preferences) ....(im gonna pop another one in my still to be configured drying tent in a few weekz)
Details here: https://www.itead.cc/sonoff-wifi-wireless-switch.html
I have communicated with 'Itead' and asked about a wireless dimmer module...they replied saying they used to have one but was problematic and removed from the list. They told me they will be looking into it again
I actually got these cos i wanted a new timer....these were cheaper...was a cool find.
So yeah....about a month in...no issues at all. This might not be for everyone....but thought id throw it out there

Your arduino efforts kind of what got me going down the road with it, thanksI am using a prototype of my far red board using an lpc-60-1050 driver to control and a sonoff basic with the daily schedule.
I also use arduino based but I have not programmed wifi yet. GrowGreen led controller but sonoffs are great too.
For me Arduino seems to be the next step personally. But it seems, it will need more time, to get into it, and use it properly, like the spectrum change I am really interested in, because I am doing it manually atm! Or far red with dimming, instead of on/off, and so on.I've voted SAWN OFF as I got a Ardino,
far far more flexible, you should have made Ardino a choice
good luck
I'm about to upgrade my Ardino to a Raspberry PI3 (kodi) the add ons are just so (scream) CHEAPFor me Arduino seems to be the next step personally. But with these sonoff‘s I was able, and everyone will be, to set up some easy wifi controled power board, with a few nice extra features like temprature/humidity control, remote key control, and so on... without any knowledge, or time intense studying!
I have a Bannana Pi Rasperberry Pi and orange Pi. I have too much Pi and not enough time to play with them all, and finally arduino has a wifi built in on the board using esp86 format chip. Just so many lamnguages. I did the Openhab, MQTT, node-red etc and decided Sonoff's was less painful to my brain. I have my Far Red set up on a lpc-60-1050 driver driven by a Sonoff too for 30 minutes. Sonoff has timers, repeat timers and day schedules. just too easy and private wifi too.I'm about to upgrade my Ardino to a Raspberry PI3 (kodi) the add ons are just so (scream) CHEAP
by the time I've finished it well may be a clone of the International Space Station ....lol
Mine are still rolling a few months in. Just set up a TH16 for my humidifier too, pretty awesome!@Chronikool everything still hunky dory with your switches? Just about to grab a bunch of em.
Good enough for me. Got a few switches and a TH16 on the way!Mine are still rolling a few months in. Just set up a TH16 for my humidifier too, pretty awesome!
Yup...no issues here either...@Chronikool everything still hunky dory with your switches? Just about to grab a bunch of em.
if only they would allow timers with less than 1 minute increments :/ and more than 8 per sonoffI have a Bannana Pi Rasperberry Pi and orange Pi. Are you talking about gradually changing your ON/OFF time or are you changing the light intensity too?Thought I got geeked out, y'all on whole nuther level.
