Day 77

Both girls got chopped yesterday. I had a day free from hospital visits and they were in need of a watering, so it made sense to harvest. Both had cloudy / amber trics. Both have a definite purple tinge to them up close, which doesn't really pick up on my phone pics, but no really purple leaves.

They were not the best looking plants I have ever grown, both were REALLY compact and never really seemed to thrive, more like plodded along, but they smell great and both had some really (for me) hefty colas rather than loads of little ones. I am still happy with how they went - anything over 4g dry total covers costs, and these should more than do that!

As you can see, there was very little in the way of fan leaves etc to trim, literally snip the buds off and give a very quick and rough tidy. I hardly had anything to make edibles with when I had done.

Plant 1 came in at 208g wet. One cola came in at 56g wet and was a decent size for me. I am 6'1" and have large hands to give a scale to the pic

Plant 2 came in at 198g wet and had similar sized buds. I forgot to take pics of the biggest.

I will post a final weight when they are both dry.

I have been suffering through a bad broad mite infestation. Can't see em till it's really bad. So I have been trying to clean them up with neem and predator mites. Hopefully I can get something out of this grow but it's been a bitch. I will show you some of the damage tomorrow. Peace and Love

They are pretty light feeders in comparison to the 2 previous Mephisto strains I grew. Lady on the right is the one that was transplanted and seems like a more vigorous plant. They’ve been under an 8 bulb t5 to this point and now have been switched to a 600 HPS. House and Garden A+b, Cal-Mag, and Fulvex up to this point, will start Bud Xl and Moab soon.76BFE4C1-1237-4E96-B112-B28D828948A1.jpeg

I had broad mites, I tried N. Cucumeris (1 or 2k , can't remember, but on one 1.25'x1.25'x2.0' plant, ordered from 'Nature's good guys') but didn't seem to see much curbing of BM symptoms and ended up with a relatively weak harvest with weak resin production and flavor. The first night I deployed I thought I saw an improvement, but I now attribute it to a feeding with aspirin mixed in coincidentally the same night.

I also added 500 ladybugs 2 week prior to harvest to help control spider mite population. The lady bugs I could at least see, and they seemed to be feeding off of something on the buds (when they were on the plant and not crawling the walls ect) and I will probably do again considering the price.

I will not be using N. Cucumeris again, they were the cheapest and were described as feeders of broadmite eggs and larvae, but I'm nut sure if it was RH, their natural ability, or what, but I did not conclude that they were effective. Also, the amount I purchased was supposed to be several times overkill for my one plant. Like I said, I could have killed the Cucumeris with my grow environment, but I've been reading more and have been finding that they are not effective in treating broadmite.

My next grow is going to be done in Coco coir/perlite/neem cake/sf nematode and I will be spraying neem once a week during veg, and then one shot of forbid 4f before harvest and then adding N. Californicus (this time) and ladybugs during flower (cpl days after forbid 4f) and finish the grow off.

N. Californicus thrives at a greater RH and temp fluctuation than N. Cucumeris and is a more aggressive predator well.

Here's a site that sells N. Californicus at the cheapest price I have been able to find.

10,000 for $22.50

Good luck on your grow, if you have success using N. Californicus or using another method hit me up. I'm still trying to figure out a process that actually work's too..

Here's a side by side, I think I started seeing obvi symptoms by week 3/4 or the 3rd/4th pic..
