Please HELP WITH THIS CRAZY MUTATION ....THAT MIGHT POSSIBLE BE A GOOD MISTAKE

Hello 2 all.
Quick info .... then my question.
I have a plant that is growing nodes on the fan leaves by the stalk.... not by the actual leaves which i have seen before.
Just curious on how any of the experienced growers have done with this.
Everyone i have shown this to... that i would actually listen to has never seen this. So i dont know if this is bad.... good or just crazy.
Right now my plan is to defoliate half the plant as normal with this Purple OG i have grown for 3 years with no major problems that wasnt self inflicted as most are.
The other half i plan on cutting the fans off about a half inch from the node.
Anybody have any experience with this issue that can drop some knowledge on me would be awesome.
Day 12 of flower by the way.

Some one has to have seen this before.
Any one...
I can list more crappy shots of this.
Basically a node growing on a.fan leave branch i guess u would call it... maybe a stalk. Ive asked a couple master growers and a close friend that owns a hydro store and this is like a Yeti... photos and. Sightings but know info.

Its a strain that strives on a defoliate at day 21 and actually yeilds way less if you dont. 1st time in 3 years that this has ever popped up and i cant find anyone that has had any experience with this.
Thanks for the info .

I was gonna snip the fan off past the node. The way its going now they wont have a chance at maturity without some kind of defoliation of some kind.
Any ideas welcome.
Have to make a choice soon.

I would start a poll and do what the people think if i had time.
Kinda of a pinch. 6 days to make the call.
Mental note ... 1 for dont touch it.
Thanks

Well it does look like a mutation, but are they all over the plant or just one or two? Is it as big as most other flowers or likely to just be popcorn? I don't see any harm in leaving one or a few just for curiosity sake, if there's more than one you might cut one as you planned and leave the other (cutting the leaf stem above the flower may kill or weaken it, idk). Me, I'm the curious type, I'd want to see what it yields ;?)

Btw, not sure I still have a pic, but I've had a couple plants over the years actually sprout a small bud at the base of the leaf itself, although it never grew big enough to be useful.

All over... 50+ spots.
I was gonna leave all of them and defoliate as normal but snip all fans with nodes... leaving them.
Day 12 tonight of flower so theres along ways to go. Doubt it will stack that high but maybe grow to something worth while.

Iv'e had bud calyx growing from the green leaf end just once in 13 years growing so its pretty rare.
Thanks bud man.
This is all over on high and low branches. Seen pics of them at the end of the fan by the leaves... no pics yet of any quite like this.

Thanks for the pic...
I have seen these. Mine are actually growing at the base of the fan closer to the stalk.
I will get some more pics when the sun comes up on her.

Single red circle photo is an example how far away it is from the actual leaves.
Dbl circle photo is an example of 2 sites just on that little branch20180127_201036.jpg 20180127_200241.jpg 20180127_201036.jpg 20180127_200241.jpg 20180127_200948.jpg

If it turns out sweet im gonna be beating my head off the wall trying to duplicate it.
Nothing in my process has changed from start to finish , so it had to be something in the cloning process , its 2 sisters are 5 weeks in flower and are normal.
