Was it wrong to hit my friend?

I'm using my brothers bike while he's inside and I left it on my front garden the other night, it went missing but then reappeared the next day. I found out one of my friends who was tripping took the bike from my garden and pedalded through to another town about 10 miles away to see some females. So I was pretty angry since i would have got it in the neck if the bike had been taken from him by someone or if he had got arrested cause it isnt even my bike and he had no permission.

So yesterday me and some other friends all went to meet the one who had taken the bike, i didnt tell any of them what i planned to do. After about fifteen minutes of meeting him he still hadnt mentioned the bike so he clearly wasnt going to admit to it so I gave him a right hook to his cheek and grabbed hold of him and hit him a few more times.

I feel i was in the right cause he effectivly stole the bike from my garden but my other friends think i shouldnt have done it cause hes a friend.

Personally, I don't think I would've done it because of the simple fact that I don't like jail. My luck would be that the dude would press charges for battery. However, since that didn't happen in your case, I think you did the right thing. You showed him and the other people around you that you aren't someone to take advantage of. You were tested. If you hadn't done something in retaliation, the people around you would see you as someone who they can do these type of things to without any repercussions... and these type of things would continue to happen to you.

I would have put my bike in the backyard if I were to leave it outside...what if it rained, anyway? hahaha but that's pretty crazy man, I think I would have been shocked to see something like that. I'd be mad about the bike but I'd at least talk to him about it first.

its only wrong if you looked like a girl when you punched, hit him but didn't hurt him or he fought back and kicked your ass. he put your ass on the line and didn't even include you in on the women, then can't even apologize. he couldn't even lie to your face. way to take the truth to his face. he will never do that to you again. violence is underrated.

Yea I wouldn't start beating on a FRIEND for taking a bike from my yard unlesss he lost it or somthing...but if he got it back then just be like "Do that again and I'll fuckin burn your house down"...thats what I'd do:fire:

good story, kinda like my "tactic" but I don't think I'd punch him in the jaw my friends would have to do something more to get hit (I'm not someone to hit only once or twice) if someone punched me more than once for borrowing (kinda stealing) their bike I'd get to swingin.

I knocked my best friend out COLD and put his tooth through his lip for kissing my ex girlfriend. I feel I was right for it.

For kissing your ex-girlfriend? if she wasn't your girlfriend at the time... then no, in my opinion, you WERE NOT right. You may have a right to be a little unhappy with him... but that wouldn't call for physical violence. Now if she was your girlfriend... then you were absolutely right for doing what you did.

I don't know, sounds like he needed someone to school him, and they sure in fuck weren't about to do it. Some people just need to get things knocked into them, or they'll just go and do it again. Some friend.

If someone's stupid enough to try and fuck with my scoot, what do you think is going to happen to them?

Now, watch your back!

You should take better care of other people's things. If your brother's bike had been taken by someone who WASN'T your friend and therefore did not get returned, that would have been on YOU for leaving it out, right?

And I kinda have the same question as fdd, did you even say anything to him first? Did he KNOW you wanted to know if he took the bike?

He should have hit you.
I never could understand kids so naive that they leave their bicycles on the front lawn and are flabbergasted to return only to find NO bike.
It should serve as a lesson with a happy ending.
